Mk2 Escort Headlight rims wanted

Hi,
I have a late Mk2 Escort. I require a pair of the steel chromed headlight rims that hold the light inplace. I need all the small brackets on the back of the rim and the mounting screws. These fit the the later plastic moulding behind the headlights, not the pressed metal type of the earlier models. Please e-mail me or call 0450 103 460. I live in Melbourne.

Thanks  Dave

    Hi Tappets
I've got 4 of the stainless fitting rings for the 7' headlights $35 a pair.
I bought these for my RS but they only have 5 3/4 lights, also got a pair of 7' halo eye lights brand new $100pr.
    Cheers
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Do your rims have the little clips at the back to hold the light in place?

    thanks Dave

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for posting the photos. These look very similar to the rims I have which are off an early Mk2. How is the light held in position with your rims? Looking at the parts description there appears, on the later cars, to be 3 small clips that fix to the back of the rim to hold in he light.
    thanks   Dave

the lights should have the locating tabs on them that locate in the headlight buckets then the rings hold them in that position as  shown in pics

    Hi.
Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. I have rims and the buckets  from an early MK2 which look like yours. The early model has steel shells which the assembly fits. My car has plastic shells and the early Mk2 lights don't fit.
I have posted two photos out of the Ford workshop manual which shows the later type of plastic shell with a different type of rims, you can see the little tabs that appear to hold on the light into the rim.
Having bought the car in bits I am relying on the Ford manual to guide me, am I looking for the right thing?
    thanks
    Dave
