Thanks for the welcome.
Went over pits today.
didn't pass due to being too low by half inch.
And they want me to cover the vents on the underside of the 4x4 bonnet.
Anyone know where to get some std height sapph springs in Perth?

Cheers

Brett

Brett, is it a 4X4 or 2wd, I have a set of standard 4X4 front springs in the workshop at home (Perth), but they are from an escort RS cosworth, I can find out if they will fit just to get you over the pits, however i am away in work till next Wednesday morning.
Mail me if you want to borrow them, we can sort it out my mobile no. is 0407193194 however i am night shift so it will be best to TXT me your no. and i can ring from work one night.

Q: why would they want you to cover the bonnet vents?

I think it is some bullpoo poo idea that if you get oil coming out from the engine it wont come out from the bonnet and go all over your windscreen.
Put a std sapphire bonnet on for the pits then swap it when you get back home. SORTED.

Nor can I.....[:-(], oh well, I guess this is what happens when you have been overseas working for a number of years and not active on the board.

But I am back now and it is time to get my RS out of storage, pitt passed/licenced (that will be fun) and start enjoying it.

Cheers

Mark.

Hi Tony, I believe it is a 1990 Sapphire Cosworth. But that's all the details that I know.

Cheers Matt

I have TXT and rang the phone number you gave but no reply to either. Will have to see what happens, do you have an emil address for him or a last name. He may be amember of the RS owners club WA, like me.

I called the guy twice last week and spoke to him about std height springs. He was going to check height and call me back but never did. Not sure if it was a 4x4 or 2wd though.

On another note my car passed the pits today so now has full wa rego!
