I see the moonstone RS with QLD plates 86COS is up for sale in the March edition of Just Cars mag. Might ring the owner and go and check it out if it's still for sale

The VIN doesn't seem right at all, the trim on the seats is wrong and the colour looks wrong (could be pictures?)

VIN seems to check out ok:

The VIN code WFOEXXGBBEGR93603 breaks down as

Manufacturer Identifier: Ford Werke A.G. (Germany)
Body type: 3 Door Hatchback
Line: Ford Germany (Own Assembly)
Assembly Plant: Genk (Belgium)
Model: Mondeo/Cougar/Sierra/Cortina/Taunus
Year: 1986 (some codes are used for more than one year)
Month: October
Production Sequence: 83603

Seats have been partly retrimmed in leather by the looks of it, probably because the material on the bolsters was worn.

RS500 front bar, splitter, rear spoiler, strut braces and a few engine bay mods, but I think it's a genuine RS Cosworth.

Your right not the same car
Tony and I had a conversation some time ago about selling the car and my advice was to complete it and make it as original as possible to show it in its best light. and when i saw the half leather interior i assumed that was his car finished off.

My mistake

That's good, so there's a new car on the block so to speak

Graeme, I'll give you a call about that front lip.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi all,
Just this minute joined up and just wanted to say I am seriously looking at buying the RS Cossie that is currently on carsales, in fact looking at making a trip over to Sydney the week after next (I'm in WA).
Whilst I have been driving and (tarmac) rallying Mitsi Evo's over the past number of years (sorry... please don't flame me! ), I actually owned a White RS Cosworth 15 years or so ago and my heart has always been firmly set on getting another one.
Sincerely looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of an RS and if anyone knows any details of this particular car I would be sincerely grateful for any info.
It looks good in the pics and the salesman says the file is about 2" thick with receipts. It was for sale privately in October last year as I do have some other photos from when she was advertised on carsales, but she was wearing different wheels at the time. Definately the same car as the engine bay pics show the same wear on the paintwork on the RHS suspension tower.
Anyway shall keep in touch and let you all know if I do secure her. Mrs did say I have to move at least one evo from the garage if I buy her.... fair call!
Cheers
Jason

Hey Jason, welcome aboard.

There are currently two Sierras for sale in NSW on Carsales, but I assume you are talking about the moonstone one?

Paul.
