[VIC] 3.54 Diff with standard sway bar
Looking for the above, should really look at my donor too but not sure if the diffs are different with the sway bar attachment? Anyone?
And what would they be worth?
Cheers

All the same. Everything will swap over. Good question. What is a 3.54 diff center worth?
I keep asking $400 for a rebuilt one. I am about to use it myself.

I thought that the ones with the sway had the brackets welded on, but if the car didn't come with a rear sway bar, then no brackets?
Internally they are all pretty much the same, or at least interchangeable (some differeing axle profiles, flanges and of course diff ratios).

All MK2 diff housings have the mounts for the factory rear bar.
Bryan, unless its for originality i wouldn't bother. The factory rear bar does bugger all and heavier aftermarket bars in my experience have a negative effect on handling.

Sourced...cheers
Yeah its for originality i guess G. I want to drop the cruising rpm of the beast and think the 3.54 would sit it nicely in the rev range and yeah the sway bar would only be for looks!

Only time someone will see it is if you've stuck it on its roof or your 2 wheeling around a corner.[x2x]

this is true but also if someone looks under the car at a show or what-not... def. never want it to be seen while on the roof! [:p]

if its revving that high my money is on it not being a 3.36. more like a 4.1 or 3.9. mine is revving around that with 4.11's.

4th gear is 1:1 so wouldn't it be 3,540rpm @ 100km/h ??? Currently with the 3.89:1 diff in 5th its sitting on about 3,000rpm for 100km/h So with the lower diff in it i would be looking at around the 2600 mark possibly(guessing only) Cheers Bryan
