Midnight Blue RS2000 4Dr - Melbourne

Up for regretfull sale is my Midnight Blue RS2000 4dr car. It is currently on Victorian CH plates, but will be sold unreg as these are not transferable.

It is an original 4dr RS2000 chassis, and up till May 2010 was my everyday road car. As such it is very reliable and well proven. IT has the following specs.

Fully rebuilt engine a few years ago with a rebuilt head including new valves and seats to suit LPG/unleaded. It has a gas camshaft to suit the Gas Research system fitted, but this is just a mild cam. Engine is a willing perfomer and does not burn oil, and has good compression. The engine is NOT a matching numbers engine for the car.
The gearbox is a type 9 5sp box that was fully rebuilt in late 2008 with new layshaft and bearings etc and cost almost $1000 back then. I have a quick shifter for it, but it currently has a modified shifter that was better for everyday use.

It runs on a Gas Research system that is both reliable and economical. gets about the same L/100km as petrol - 450km for about 50L around town and up to 650km in the country - so more range too than the old petrol system. Is very well setup and runs very well (was dynoed a few time to get the setup working perfectly). Has LPG compliance plate, but would require the tank tested for a RWC (I can get that done if needed).

The diff is a standard 3.54 RS2000 / 2Lt diff with new bearing a few years ago - no noises etc.

Body is quite straight, but it will need a little TLC as it was an everyday car till last year. There is a little rust starting to creep in on the roof rail and the rear quarters are starting to show bubbles. There is a small dent in the drivers door, and the bonnet is matt not gloss as it will need a paint (I have a 4Lt of new paint, but no time to do it properly..)

Interior is standard RS2000, with a radio cassette. It has central locking and an alarm, that was fitted 2009/2010. The front seats are currently Ghia seats with covers, but I do have the original Scheels (retrimmed in the original material and in EC) to go with it depending upon price.

I will be taking it along to Small Ford Sunday next week, however if there is interest on this forum, then first in first served.

I am looking for abotu $4,000 for it as is, but if you do not want the engine/gas and gearbox, then I will sell it as a roller for $2.5K.

The inclusions / exclusions are up to the buyer, as I have other stock (petrol) 2Lts, gearboxes and fuel tanks etc to make a complete package. Price ultimately depends upon what the buyer wants.
I want it to go to a good home, as otherwise I will keep it, even though I have too many (Escort) projects and not enough garage space. (Cannot take it for a test drive though till Tuesday when the new VicRoads logbook scheme kicks in though!) I can deliver it around Melbourne by agreement with the buyer. I should have it a SMS next week. No photos atm, but I will take some at SMS next week.
