cheers mate, ive done a bit more and added the old character scratch,

been following your build razzle and it looks great congrats on the house...
as u can see theres a slight new direction, im adding inter cooler plumbing over the next month. and hope to have the car sealed soon, just waiting on some new 1/4 window rubbers too build the doors....
summer months are always slower as im always out riding

most windows are new and in the car

intercooler and radiator are mounted and i have also had the bumpers painted

im am now working out the plumbing ( i will be buying black silicone hoses once i know what i need

i have dummied up the doors but am waiting on some rubbers to finish fitting them

also fitted this puppy

so im slowly chipping away at it

its been 6 months since i have updated this thread, and i wish a whole lot more had been achieved, but as im sure most other people on this forum can understand its still slowly coming along..a month in Europe didn't help the cars progress but a trip to burtons in one of the dodgiest parts of England i have seen was one definitely fun, heres some pics from burtons.

when i was there i was lucky enough to meet a Maltese bloke there with a very quick pinto turbo escort, the language barrier made it hard to understand, but the pics he showed me on his phone were an inspiration.

back to what we have done recently, The plan is to start the engine by mid next year, to do that i need to finish the engine and fuel system. and stop any form of cycling that takes up so much time.

I have gone back to a carbi after being donated a blow through specific mighty demon and a extreme velocity hat.

i still have the injection manifold but im going to get it going this way 1st and if im not happy will try injection.

i have now plumbed all the cooler in stainless with 2.25" out of the turbo and 2.5" into the carbi.
I have also fitted a turbo smart dual blow off valve, this is something i can plumb back or too atmosphere which i thought it was good to have the option.
It took some sorting but is fairly simple being a xflow engine.
I have a mate turbo charging 202 in a lj torana and that seems nightmare compared too a an escort pinto.
(this is just off at the polishers at the moment and hope to pick it up tomorrow)

I have fitted the oil feed and return line, as well as an oil catch and radiator overflow can.

The turbo manifold has been ceramic coated.

the 10psi internal waste gate is now  mounted, and dump pipe has been built (i am just waiting to get the car on the hoist so the flange can be welded and the bottom of angled where it needs to be)

i hope to get the inlet side and all the gauges plumbed before xmas, then i will start on the fuel system...
