Hey Rich,

There are quite a few cars getting around with the SR20 DET and they are pretty crazy.  My daily is a worked S15 200sx with around 300kw so if you put that in the Escort  it would be nuts

Good luck

Matt

Don't be a hater Mish!

This was the first session after the work had been done and we maxed the standard injectors and fuel pump.  Can't really remember what it makes now.  I have assumed a power loss of 30% for power train so my estimate of 300kw (Flywheel) I believe is accurate although academic as I don't know how accurate the dyno dealie is nor do I really care.

Car goes fine for my liking and not really interested in all out power.

Agree it is not the best sounding SR20 out there though.

Cheers

Sorry for the ****ty copy.

HAHAHA Hook line and sinker,

dont think 30% sounds right id say more in the relms of 15% or less as its a fairly modern driveline with no real heavy components to spin.
Only way a SR sounds good is with a atmo wastegate and bouncing off the limiter, or else they all sound like tractors.

PS.. that power in a escort is nuts ;)

no hate, i love a good sr in anything, not too many motors that you can push 300+wkw out of a std bottom end. but like i said they need to be angry or being trashed to have a decent sound, matt and i have had discussions about his milo tin exhaust on the s15 ;)

Haven't done much for a while as I've been doing some big hours at work and have no time to spend on the car.

I put in a new M/C and the brakes are a million times better now.  Before I needed to pump the pedal twice to get a hard pedal.  The new M/C is 11/16ths where as the old one was 3/4" so now the pedal is a little softer and has more travel.  Not sure yet whether I like it more than the previous one but time'll tell.

I have a hydraulic handbrake to install as well if / when I get some time.

I am really stoked as I have a new (old) set of wheels coming soon.  I have wanted a set of these since ever i was 18 (22 years ago) and had my first RS2000.  Anyone guess what they are?

Cheers,

Matt
