Your right the way the xmember lines up does distort the new bushes along the same lines as the old bushes.
It takes quite some effort to install the mounts with the new bushes,
I feel it should siton the bushes without undue stress, So I am Keen to work out the best solution, I wonder if a different set of engine mounts would help/ improve the situation.
The rear mount is new and mounts up correctly So I believe the engine to be in the correct position.
option 2 is to remove the rear mount and see where the mounts locate the engine.

Option 3 could always be to install a standard crossmember and engine mounts.

Ok substitute the word moon for WCXM !
Cost are about the same!!

Could clean up an old Xmember and install, just more work :(

so your positive that swapping the brackets over dont work? as you can see the passenger side bracket is longer then the drivers! whole engine is moved to drivers side and it seems to be caused by the brackets! see pic. are the brackets custom made? dammit pic wont load

No the mounts won't swap, as I tried in the weekend.
Definitely can't swap, I wonder if they could have been 1600 brackets.
Might start cleaning up my other cross member.

I had to put a solid spacer between the bracket and the block on my pushrod engine, to move the sump off the rack. Next time I will be cutting off the mount tower on the xmember beefing up the track control arm mount point and fitting a chassis mount kit.
