Put some door glass and regulators in today and some rubbers and other odds and ends. First time seeing the car with the new windscreen. Looks like a proper car! Sort of. Headers are a massive fail. Have to return them as they arent remotely close to going on :( Front apron needs some love prior to mounting the front spoiler.

Looks awsome mate. I like the carbon lip, very cool. I forked out for custom extractors on mine and im glad I did. Even though it was expensive I know there up to the task and fit perfect! When I got my car registerd it made all the hard work worth while. Keep it up.

Cheers for the comments. Hard to keep motivated sometimes. When I am at a point where I can have the body done nicely and then painted it will all get stripped. Headlights went in today and the heaters mounted this week. Sway bar is off at powdercoat so the front end looks a bit borked.

Flares mostly fitted. Brake calipers should be off getting reco'd and coated and some new goodies showed up from Summit this week (electrical connectors, coil, leads, battery isolator switch). Exhaust pipes should also be underway.

Are those flares based on the RS3100 guards? Where do you get them? A mate of mine would be keen on a set for his new track car. Mike

Yes RS3100. I purchased them from Smith and Deakin in the UK as recommended by gtv6capri. They were fairly cheap and seem to be pretty good quality. The postage was more than the flares. http://www.smithanddeakin.co.uk/F-K.htm Flares were 35 pound and the shipping was 53. They arrived in Australia in less than a week.

Flares fitted. Not 100% but will do for now. Will be made yellow soonish to fit in with the rest. Was surprised how big the flares are in person. No news on anything else atm :(

Car is now home. Still lots to do. Spent some time yesterday vacuuming the carpets and seats and fitting some of it up. I had previously trimmed down the instrument cluster to clear the roll cage but I haven't quite done enough so that needs some more work. Had a few concerning moments when I didnt think the dash would go in. I had trimmed that down and fitted it and was happy with how it went in the car around the cage. Then the windscreen was fitted.... eventually it went in but will have to be cut a little more down the track when the interior is eventually painted. For some time I have pondered over the best location for the tacho. I like where it is in the pictures but dont feel that masking tape will cut the mustard long term. It's just nice having the thing home and being able to try things and see if it looks good or will even work. Brakes are off being coated and handbrake cables being remanufactured and Garry ran the brake lines prior to the car coming home so that's mostly the brakes done.
