Hi Cam, yep I did notice it. I believe it was badged Isuzu. Plenty of cars from leftfield there. There was a KE70 that was very entertaining on the Tarmac Super Stage. I think about 40% of his run was on 3 wheels! The pinto will go very well. The head was flow tested and came in at 190hp :D Inlet valves (Pep-Pro stainless) getting 0.51" lift

Hi Cam. Yes as far as street engines go :) Peter's done a great job with it. The rally was very good fun. It's nice to get back there amongst the locals. A few good laughs were had I painted the rocker cover over the weekend. This cover will be going on my other Pinto but I wanted to see what the colour was like. I might change to blue for this engine too.

Oh yeah! The pics of the engine make me smile.... Good luck on the dyno, interested to see how it goes... How are the Hankooks holding up? they may be an endangered species with the new engine... Using the same ones on my car, but no road test yet... Cheers Drew

Hi Drew, cheers mate :) We're confident for figures above 130rwhp. Hoping for close to 140 :) The tyres are good for the money about $95 fitted & balanced. Just the fact they're lighter and narrower makes a huge improvement to the handling compared to 205's. The offset of the 13x7's has helped a lot too. Car is way more responsive, easier to throw around and acceleration greatly improved by less rolling diameter. I worked it out on gearcalc, 185/60/13 tyre is the equivilant of dropping from 3.77 diff to 3.89.

A bit of a hiccup last week. Engine is now running great and dyno booked in for this week. So fingers crossed I will get the car out to "All Ford Day" at Willowbank on Sunday :D

Hi Glenn, thanks for your comments. The wheels are 0 offset. Here's the link to them, also happens to be the business I bought them off. I recall you saying you didn't want to roll your guards? They will need to be rolled to fit these. I"m not aware if any "off-the-shelf" 13x7's that have a positive offset
