New front and rear window

Hey guys,

iam trying to track down brand new front and rear windows for my mk1. i have got all the side glass made from a company and know after about 8months the finally decide to tell me they dont want to make my front and rear window so was a tad annoyed.

so know i am on the hunt for a new front and rear window anywhere in Australia i dont care aslong as they are new and CRYSTAL clear.

if any of you may know of a company that does them in yout state or know where i can get a hold of them please post contact details or names of companys up, all help will be much appreciated.

    I have a front windscreen to suit a MK1.
    Would you like a picture?
    The Glass is scratch free but the rubber seal will not be up to your standards.
    Don't they make new screens for MK1's anymore?

    Thanks, but i have my ones that come out of it,
    but ive got all new side glass so i would like to put
    new front and rear windows in it, ip worse comes to worse i will source them from th uk.

    yes may sound stupid but its the way i am.

    I got a brand new screen sourced and fitted for $190 here in Melb, that was after windscreens obriens ridiculous quote of $495!!!!


    A rang a few places and the going installation rate was around $220.

    RRP$ on a new mk1 escort is $144 from http://www.protector.com.au/2009-PGI-Catalogue.pdf (pg40)

    There seemed to be plenty of new front glass around. Most of the suppliers either had them in stock or could get one within a day or two. You'll be hard pressed finding a rear screen though.

    Dont know if you have rubbers yet, but I found this guy very good, both price and product.

    Hey Escortinadriver, thanks for that one might give them a call but does yours have that sunband thats in a darkish green on the top or is it all clear?

    Santa - yes all 6pce of side glass are brand new i got them made including the little 1/4 windows, a mod down here called "harrison early Holden and ford spares" got them done for me, i gave them all my glass and they sent them away to the place that makes there all there glass for them. Unfortunaly they wouldn't tell me the name of the company that does them but they were ment 2 make me a front and rear window but then gave up.

    they tryed making 4 rear windows for me but when going through the toughing process they were over curving so thats why the called it quits, so i was close in getting a rear window but no go in the end.

    Ralph Moore Autoglass at Mascot in Sydney can supply all new glass for all (well most!) cars. Except the XA, XB, XC Falcon coupe rear windows. However I understand they are working on this also.

    Highly recommended! They are enthusiasts's also!
