Yeah I'm suprised too! I've heard people say good things about them. I think they did a rush job and performed what they called a "run in tune" whatever that is. My car was driving so bad after I got it back but put up with it as they were going to retune it in 2000ks later. Previously they told me the car was running way too lean and I took it somewhere else and they said it was fine. So who do you believe, I've had three people look at the car and told me the reason it failed was too much fuel. Anyways thems the risks I guess, Now I'm taking it to Insight as Scott is pretty good and always booked 3 weeks ahead.

The issues that you had could be related to what clearances the engine was initially machined too...I'd ask for a copy of the dyno sheet with the afr overlaid...that will tell the story once and for all

Rightyo! Escort is back home at last! Vi-pec ECU running with 1000cc injectors, OMG! [:u] what a difference! Cold start problems are a thing of the past, one turn of the key and the FJ's alive, the engine runs so smooth. Nextweek the watts-link is installed and mid-november the GT3071R is installed. What this space!

I want the option of running both E85 and 98. The E85 will keep my engine temp down along with 30% more power.

Yeah when running E85 you'll need at least 1000cc injectors as you need to flow 30% more fuel, Also a high volume fuel pump (approx 70PSI) fuel pressure needed. E85 has combustion temp of approx 385 degrees vs 98 which has 265 degrees therefore you can run more advance timing and thus much higher HP output before detonation and not to mention the engine will run much cooler and also much less emissions. Can't wait to get the turbo fitted, also will get a CDI ignition.

not really... (unless running c16/e85) 800cc injectors will cop 400/450rwhp easy... and still give decent idle etc

There is a Caltex in the Redlands getting E85, it might even have it already, and the Caltex at Mackenzie is getting it too!
