but why do a car up and have the only thing holding it back is the bland boring white paint! argh?!

I dunno. There's an awesome bright white off the Mazda 3's. I always thought it'd look good on an Escort.
Those Mazda's come in some awesome colours. [:u]

Thanks guys. There is just some thing about white on these cars i love. Well im back onto the 17x8's and with the extra caster im looking at maybe altering the guards behind the tyres. It seems to have to much of a gap now. Have to wait untill i have the adjustable strut top in as this will move the wheels back a little. I havnt had a chance to do anything on it the last couple of weeks as i have been flat out at work and looks like it will be like that for the next 3 or 4 aswell Oh well hope i can save up some more money for it in the mean time Download Attachment: IMGP0993.JPG106.1 KB Download Attachment: IMGP0992.JPG106.93 KB

Looks great with those wheels on it. The white would actually look quite good if you're planning to keep them on it.

Looks good Darnold, I think white would look great too. A really bright white like what came on first BA XR's would look great. Dont know if it still the same white now or not though.

great build, you really have some talent...and time. i aree witht the white to be a bit more inconspicuous, altho it would look great in a bold colour, i think the holden metalic green but keep a low profile, especially with the xtra large 2L u have look forward to seein the finished product

Thanks for the comments guys, Gives me a bit of encouragement to get off my butt and do a bit more on it.[%] The prject has had another slight change (Again)[xx(]. I have decided that it would be worth my while to do a full tub at the rear while i am at it. I have some 280/625/15's that i want to fit under it now and figure easier now than later[%]. Every thing has been going ever so slowly for a while now but i hope to get back into it soon.

Nice. I'll be doing tubs on my project, so it'll be nice to see how it turns out.

Great project Darnoldrs but I personally would have worked "with" the engineer on this one from the start. To pass an engineers in Vic it must also pass an emissions test and a RWC test. Would just be a shame to see you have to "rework it" to suit the engineers requirements. Good luck. Regards Craig
