I went for another drive up the road with mates G-Tech RR and had some good and bad reports. Bad- Acording the the G-Tech it is only putting down just over 100rwKw. This was far less than i was expecting. Good- If it does 6.4 0-100 like it is, and feels to pull like it does, Imagine when it is all sorted heading towards 250rwKw.[:u][:x)] I hope to fit the intercooler before SFS and it will be interesting to see the power gains. Then i broke it on the way home from the test run[xx(]. It was just the power steering pump so i am in the middle of replacing it now.[:I].

Well i have fitted another power steering pump and go tit running again. I will have to totaly change the belt system[B)] to avoid placing to much stress on the power steering pump and alternator. I have the intercooler fitted and plumbed up. It still needs a bit more doing to get the pipes just right but they are there for now. It has taken the inlet temp from being to hot to hold your hand on, to being just warm and it seem to give it lots more pull i would be guessing as it now will not be retarding the timeing so far because of the high inlet temps it was causing before. Not much else to tell at this stage.[xx(]

It has collected a lot of dust[%], moved a couple of inches forward in the shed . Other than that, nothing else has been done at all. I have been to busy as work and other priorities for a while.[B)] [8~2]

capri struts, shortened about 50mm for memory with series 4 RX7 koni externaly adjustable inserts, coil overs and custom made strut tops with hoppers stoppers hubs (falcon stud pattern)and brake set up. I think that is about it.[x2x]

Were those inserts like $500 a pair, as i think they are the only ones that fit in. I have capri struts with coilovers and need the inserts and hubs. i was just a bit concerned with the hubs as they stillr un on small bearings, but i think i will have to got hat way. To get a kit off castlemaine, they have sleeves that go overs the bearing mounts to fit falcon bearings, and then u need the hubs etc. They are worth the same as the hubs from hopper stoppers.
What spring load rating have you got for the front?
cheers Anthony

You can get cheaper brake upgrades than hoppers stoppers from some one in lillydale i beleave. Do a serch in the brake section as there are others that have done the reserch on them. The capri bearings are larger than the escort ones and will be far strong enough for anything you are doing in an escort. I bought the insets secondhand so i am not to sure on their price but that sounds about right. I have 400Lb springs in the front which are a little heavy even for the V6. The struts i have are very short as i have lowered the car considerably and it may not be suitable for a normal low ride height as there may not be enough suspention travel, that is something you would have to check. the extended length of the strut is over 100mm shorter and the compressed length is about 50mm shorter than original, then the capri strut makes the car another 25mm lower again because of the stub mounting.

Phil. What size clutch master cylinder bore do you run with your current clutch set up. I need a master cylinder and will eventually go the same way as you have but just after a master cylinder for now to fit to the new pedal box. Thanks.

I plan on converting to an xr6t slave or the same as you ended up with. I am just assuming however that the throw is going to be very similar. Thanks.
