I will give a bit of an update, Not that there is much to tell.[8~2]
I have all the intercooler pipeing and the TIG welder to weld them up when i get a chance. The engine has devaloped a problem with the ignition so i wont run at the moment. (think it could be in the loom or the crank angle sensor) I have been flat out at work and at home building another section of shed to give myself a better working inviroment.[%]
Other than that i have just been colecting more ideas about all the things i haven't done yet and the things that i am not happy with sofar.
Next is to remove the motor again to to aort out a few minior issues and build the wireing loom. build the intorcooler pipeing and get it fitted and build a proper peddle box for the brake and clutch set up. I am almost getting back to the point i can spend some more time on the project. I will be endevering to get it to SFS in feb so stay tuned. In all honesty, the wireing is by far the biggest job to do thou. I will keep every one posted when i get it moving forward again.

Well after chasing the electrical gremilin it turned out to be a mis adjusted crank angle sensor rubbing on the trigger wheel and left a few deposits of metal shavings on the sensor upsetting the signal to the ECU. Seems to be all sorted now, even thou it is still running like a dog, I have put that down to 8 month++ old fuel (I hope [:I])
So now that it is running i have removed the loom and have started on rebuilding it at last. Should have it done over the next couple of week i hope.
SFS-2008 is looking good so far[:p]

Well i have made a good start on rebuilding the car loom fitting a new fuse box in the kick Panel and adding relays to the lights and other circuits. once this is done i will move onto rebuilding the engine loom and grafting that into the car aswell.[B)]

Well latest update. I have rewired the car loom to include a blade type fuse holder in the kick Panel and relays for the lights and for the eec power and other things. The fuse box will sit next to the glovebox hidden by the small side Panel attached to the side of the glove box. So to access the fuses the glovebox will need to be removed but this is no big hassel.

This is what i have cut out of it so far.

I now have to graft the eec loom into the car loom and make it all neat[xx(]and hope it still works[:I]
I have also cut the holes in the inner guard for the intercoler piping and the air cleaner under the guard. The stainless steel intercooler pipes are tacked together and fit nicely so far, but i am concerntrating on the wiring at this stage so i can get it running again.[:I][:p]

I will be making every effort and it is very likely that i will make it to SFS 2008.
I have booked a mates trailer for feb. Once the wireing is sorted and finished, it can be started and be driven onto a trailer at least. Anything else I get done after that and before SFS will be a bonus. Then i will just have to decide which wheels to have on it[88][88][88][:I]

Well it is up and running again, The wireing job (semi tempory) is all grafted in and working[:p][:p]. I have fixed a leak in the power steering rack and have moved the radiator forward another 15mm to allow room for a 16" thurmo fan wich i still have to fit and wire in and i am also going to connect up and fit a 10" fan to the front of the intercooler to help with airflow.
I had some minor dramas with the ignition. After starting up again it kept dropping cilinders untill only 1 was fireing. I started at the bginning and re-checked everything only to find that the plugs had fowled up and the gap was to big.(about 0.07") I cleaned teh plugs and reset the gap to 0.045 and it fired up again. Still not running perfect thou as no. 5 plug i can only get out by removing the left hand hedders[B)], so ill do it next time the motor is out.[%]
It is good not to have so many wires going every where now, It feels a lot more assembled[:I][%]I have a bit more tiding up to to but we will be all go for SFS 2007 now. Might try to get a Video posted up in the next week or so of it running.

Alternator is wired up and working, 16 inch thrumo fan is fitted, wired and working but just wired to come on with the ignition.
I haven't got a video yet thou.
It is pulling max of 11lb of boost (dont know from what rev) and seems to be going ok now.
I have just fitted some second hand 205-45-16 kumho ecusta 700 semi slicks to the rear. with the G-tech pulled a 6.4 0-100 but i had lots of wheel spin taking off and a bit of a granny shift 1st-2nd[:I] but this was better than the 7.6 the other day on bald tires and a even bigger granny shift[88] It will still spin these tires at any speed and any rev in 1st at the drop of the right foot.[:u][:p]If i could get some traction i think mid 5 sec 0-100 is about where the car is at at the moment, remembering that is is not yet intercooled, which with this type of supercharger, it yelds segnificant HP gains.[:p]
With the kumho's on and the 2.77 diff it sits at about 2000rpm at 100kmh.
Now its just to finish off the oter bits and peices as i get time. But i am happy with it so far.[%]

Simon, I will be there for sure this time[%]. I hope to have it a little more "together" by then also.
Mostly, re-check the front end, checking bump steer, alignments, (camber, castor and toe)and make sure everything is working corectly and mount the bottom of the steering column. It will then feel lots safer to drive[%][:I]
also re-fit the dash and interior.
I am trying to get my cousin peter with his 4 door RS (unlikly) and a friend with a fully restored consul capri to come this year also.[%] But I will be there at SFS2007,for sure.[:p]
Better make that 2008[:I][:I][:I]

Better get that flux capacitor sorted for the RS... or just set your sights on SFS 2008 [:o)]
