another little update.
head is back and mostly assembled



bought another quickrack as my one ended up in the daily haha. also a high pressure oil switch.


also have a rocket box with quaife gears on its way. should do the job untill i go 5 speed.


block should be ready to pick up this week. everything is balanced, block has been sonic tested. just waiting on the boring and honing.

will post pics when i get it back

got my bottom end back from the machine shop. block was bored and honed to fir the new pistons. everything was balanced up.

now all i need to do is book some holidays from work so i can have time to assemble

looks great! what's the specs on the motor? and what power you hoping for?

my x flow is allmost done just need crank blanced and head ported abit more,

looking forward to seeing the complection

motor specs are:

ally head
titan roller rockers
kent double valve springs
stainless steel valves
custom kelford cam ( also have a kent 244 but decided to go a little bit bigger)
kent double width chain
cp forged pistons 83.5mm
custom steel rods
forged knife edge crank
custom extractors
hi flow oil pump
acl bearings
arp bolts/studs thruout.
lightened flywheel

also will be running twin 45 webers

as for power. id be happy with anything over 160hp at the fly

little update.

fitted a piston and did the deck heights for the block. also did main bearing clearances but ran out of guage so couldnt do big ends.
i have 2 weeks off work soon so hopefully i can get the thing assembled then.

love the look of the crank.mmm

yeah me and the ol man built the office in the shed a couple years ago. can fit the motorbikes and the gokart in there. its nice to work in when its cold :)

didn't cost much either as we built it ourselvs

well bit of a update. on holidays now so hopefully get a bit done.

new cometic headgasket arrived


started assembling the engine today.



ready to go in




looks good


as good as they look i really hope i wont see them for a while


ally head on


and roller rockers on



adjustable cam wheel




slowly coming together. hopefully some more progress tomorrow

these arrived yesterday. new 45's


look good on the motor



not too much progress. i have last round of the state cup for gokarting this weekend and i popped my motor last round ( while leading, typical) so trying to get the motor sorted out. hopefully should be all bolted up by tonight (just waiting on a few things from the shop)
