sweet ride champ, so with the way your supercharger is set up it looks like you have made an extension for the clutch.can you give me some details as this way is more tidy compared to the way i had it on my tf cortina

Im interested in how you extended the pulley shaft of the supercharger? Really nice setup you have there.
Where did you run the belt from? and do you have a belt tensioner somewhere?

Boys,
Not real easy mate did the fabrication to make the extension housing and then press fitted a metal bush in the end (from memory) works well.

Belt tensioner is in the mix between the crank pulley and the supercharger... I have the radiator out at the moment so I will take some pics and post them up in the next couple of days.

Ok more updates, car has been going well (save for breaking the gearbox at wakefield the day after the october cruise) still no pics of the pulleys but there is news there too.
So far we have half completed the brake conversion changing from capri front brakes, same as MK2 2L brakes over too something larger with 4 spot calipers, I bought some R32 GTS-T Skyline ones but no matter what we did we couldnt get them to fit but now we are having a win with one side figured out and half connected so just another bracket to make and a wait til Friday for the stainless lines to turn up, we have managed to fit (just) a 300mm (11") DBA rotor behind the 15" Wheel (had to take the stick on wheel weights off as they were fouling the brake caliper) with some alloy 4 spot calipers whole set up cost less than $500 w/lines and is lighter than the JAP S#*T plus BRAND NEW ! and looks huge !
NEXT is adjustable Strut Tops, Strut Brace, Supra Gearbox conversion and Carpet plus detail the whole car for before THIS Sunday for the Car Show in Tamworth.
Should have some pics by Friday but I also picked up another project today ! Fully caged MK1 2 DOOR, needs everything done bar the cage work (paint/mechanicals) but I was quoted $2K for the same cage that is in the car now so I'm way ahead to start with ! Car will be "RACE ONLY" though. More pics and a new thread tomorrow, this will be a slower moving project though until the new motor is in the street car and then I will have a power plant to go into the racer :)

MARK - I have printed out all the times from posts here and there for wakefield so I know what to shoot for pity I didnt bother timing any laps last track day, so fingers crossed we should have some neck and neck fun ! any chance of a rematch of the drag we had in canberra ? DARNOLDRS - I have seen your beast and its worth the wait !!! let me know when you want to swap :) Plus your making awesome progress it seems like every couple of days you have completed some other engineering miracle that makes me (and probably others feel REALLY LAZY) like your guard mods, stroke of genius ! MAXRS - Should have all the rest of the stuff braided lines,missing clip off caliper, long pads (apperantly they go right to the edge? rather than being tapered like the current ones)to complete the brake conversion tomorrow so will put some pics up then, looks amazing though std brakes look like a joke (seriously) once you have these 300mm bad boys on the front. NISMOCARPI - Have seen your posts before, would have loved to go straight to efi, had the hardware (complete sierra efi setup) at the time but not the cash plus was a bit scared honestly, so sold the efi and did the supercharger for the same money, had lots of fun and broke some boxes and a diff and now have the cash to do it properly with Sierra EFI Manifold, Bigger Injectors, Wolf 3D Computer, Forged/Billet Bottom End, Eaton M90 Supercharger. Have put a pic of the car on the trailer, a familiar site unfortunately. Will have more interesting pics tomorrow. Well there hasn't been a update on the pics as we have run into a few snags;
1.) Supra Conversion !!!!
a.) Dellow Bellhousing was tapped with the wrong thread for the bolts in the car, my mate who has been helping me tells me that only very early mk1's used the thread that we found in the bell housing, retapped the holes and problem solved.
b.) Auto Tunnel and Supra box fit fine once you take off the kick down cable mount:)
c.) Supra Box is F#C*ED it seems that the box is stuck in reverse, the clutch goes in and out but no gears can be selected... took the box to a manual transmission specialist and the verdict is get another box so its back to the wreckers for an exchange.
d.) Tailshaft is 3/4" too long $235 later tail shaft is "straightened" ! cut and balanced.
2.) Strut Tops
a.) Bushes in the top of the strut are much bigger than the shock itself, not a bolt-in fit like noltec suggested.... cut some appropriatley sized tube and we are away.
b.) Bolted the strut tops in and all is fine, 4 wheel laser alingment booked for next week after the box is in should be able to dial some extra camber in !!!
3.) Brakes
a.) Skyline R32 Disc's and calipers purchased for the front brake upgrade are under size massively legal limit is 29mm and mine measure 21.9mm !!!
b.) Skyline Brakes have no hope in hell of fitting, offset of rotor and size of caliper means no go.
c.) 305mm DBR Rotors purchased (brand new) and PBR 4 SPOT calipers, brackets made and braided lines fitted, pedal feels ok yet to drive the car see 1.) Supra Conversion
4.) Bigger Pulley for Supercharger
a.) Removed pulley and sent into the shed to lathe up an alloy one !!! more info next week will have the pulley on tomorrow but wont know what boost its producing until we get a drive see 1.) Supra Conversion.... next week hopefully.
Will have pics later on in the week just want to get the pulley done and get out of this 40 Degree heat !!!!
