Neat supercharger set-up. Scweeeet job.
Have you got the Brake fluid reservoirs on top of the master cylinders in the cabin?

Ive been thinking about building a similar engine 4 some time now, but i just dont have the know - how.
Is the intake manifold partly a sidedraft weber manifold ??
u were very lucky to come across a 75 mk1 2dr auto, as they seem to be quite rare [V]

Mk2_2dr_2L its a std weber downdraft manifold cut off at the end of the runners with a alloy tube welded on to make a plenum.
RS AL $250 for the supercharger and lots of head scratching all the parts are either corolla escort or the original supercharger parts.
Funnell consistant 8 pounds of boost no pinging just need to get it on a dyno to get it running smooth as the carb needle was just a guess (a bad one), and the needle I got was way way lean.... lots of filing and im getting close. will get some figures from the dyno and post again soon
Mark yep got the adjustable setup from quickco in SA and got a mate to refit the setup into a MK1 pedal box.

Well its getting closer to being on the road now had some problems on the dyno (welch plug fell out !) and have just got the car back on the road now, initial figures are 115kw (154hp)at the wheels! Response's to HMMM 1.)Initailly I had intended on just EFI and built the engine around that, but once I started investigating the EFI parts that I had and looked into what else I was gonna be up for I changed my mind and went supercharged, Im happy with my decision as I dont think I would have the power that I now have with just EFI. 2.)Have had another MK1 2L with a suck thru Turbo setup complete with CD Stromberg and was more "Home Made" than this and it still went quite well, although I never had the chance to get it on the dyno. Ill tell you one thing though the pipe between the carb and the supercharger gets pretty icey once its been running for a bit ! More pics.... I am yet to see the Dyno chart, pick the car up tomorrow from the final round of dyno tuning so ill post the chart then.
Also on driving the car in response to a question posed by HMMM the cam that I have doesnt seem to be lumpy at all.

Well got the car back from the Dyno (see below chart)and all is good go's pretty hard, it's getting very hot under the bonnet though so the extractors are going to have to come off and get heat coated (that will be tomorrow) as some of the paint in the engine bay is starting to blister/peel.... bummer ! have already wrapped my clutch cable in reflective heat tape but looks like im gonna have to take things further. Wheels are rubbing/catching on the front guards so I found a place that will lip them and give them a bit of a pump, only problem is they are butchers ! Tempe Tyres, they managed to do one properly, I mean I was expecting to crack the paint but not have to re-panel beat the passenger side guard, looks like more body/paint work is on the cards, rego first though. Dyno Results Below Download Attachment: BLOWNMK12L DYNO SHEET.JPG68.27 KB It seems that the mechanic was talking HP not KW :( but still happy with the result, not a super smooth curve but maybe thats the accuracy of the dyno over such a small amount of power I'd imagine they would be used to dealing with cars putting out stacks more. The engine had been rebuilt but its pretty much standard, the head is where I spent my cash upgrading the valves so that I can run the car on unleaded. The efi was going to cost too much more to get up and running and it was gonna be either efi or supercharged not both, now that I have have had a bit of a chance to drive it though I think down the track I will look into efi again, the car runs good now but efi I think would work out better in the long run.... for the moment though im gonna see what I can get out of the car the way it is, already had conversations about a new exhaust, looking to pick up 15hp there.

Been short of money and time but have a couple of days off finally so doing a bit of tidying up, unfortunately have sprung a leak front cam bearing is shot so looks like a bit more work ahead yet, down here in Sydney without proper tools, so it takes me a while to get things sorted.
On the upside looks like I may have established a new contact down here to get some spanner work done and also a new intake design may be in order.... more information when confirmed.
