Hey Bodie

Yes its a regular 8 valve head with Group 1 exhaust valves and slightly bigger than group 1 inlet's. If you want to know more about the head you need to contact Wozzah as he built it.

I was surprised with the dyno output too but keep in mind all dyno's read differently and there is a bit of variance also in how high the car was sitting on the rollers etc. Perhaps mine wouldn't read quite as high on a different dyno.

I would also be assuming less power train loss than 33% but i am not really sure how to calculate this properly.

All i really care about is laptimes and that gets tested at Winton next weekend!

Yeah your right Gareth 33% is too high, there isn't that much going on down an escort drive train is there ? even so thats a stout pinto you have there, if we say 15% loss your still nudging 200 hp and thats nothing to sniff at, congrats and good luck at Winton, hopefully there will be some v8's there you can bother, hehe

cheers

When do we get to see the dyno sheet?

And how about an update to the leader board???

Seems you've knocked Dannys old 8v off the top.

Well done.

Currently the highest NA pinto on the site???

You wou have to see both engines on the same dyno on the same day to compare as the spec is telling there wouldn't be much of a comparison, you gotta love a rolling road

Shaun you just need to read the spec list and it'll tell you what it will really make and this is one of the problems with rolling road dyno's as there are too many variables and Dyno Dynamics model are too liberal and not accurate enough

Danny, you are right. Far too many variables and while i am happy to see the numbers on the screen it isnt the reason i built the motor. I built it for sprinting so lap times are all i really give a toss about.

Bingo or take it to the drags as that will give you a more accurate idea

My old single cam did it with a 2.39 1st gear and did 13.62@100mph in Improved Production spec

Agreed.

Only have to look at the choke size to see the power levels are on the 'optimistic' side.

If only it was that simple to pull those numbers.

I'm not doubting it is a stong motor though

I Meant to post this up a while ago, The green line on the graph was the very first run and the blue line the last run.

Awesome number!!! Getting mine down to the dyno with Warren very soon. Don't think I will do quite that well. Revved mine past 7000 for the first time today, pulling hard as... very happy so far. Was told by people on these forums my motor would be a "Slug Stick" qouted from Danny M. Warren can get power from a 520x!! Well done mate!!!!!
