I have faith in your any of your work Ron . If you are as good with a welder as you are with a hammer I can sleep easy at night.

Early christmas present to myself. A nice set of brand new 15" x 7" globes kindly donated to me by a mate who was going to put on a Rs.But since had a change of direction..He tells me these are one offs as he had them made thru a friend at Performace with his desired offset.

+1, what Ron said! I don't know that much about manufactering alloy wheels but it would seem like a large and expensive job to produce a one piece wheel like that in a "one off" offset? Edit: thinking about it more I guess it could be an offset intended for another make but with the stud pattern drilled to suit as a "one off"?

Update.. etched primed roof, front guards , sills,a pillars. Pulled diff down getting ready to be swapped back to mark 1 instead of currnet mk3.I'm keeping the centre 3.44 and LSD should suit my driving habits ..(quick off the line and sideways) Does anyone know the side number is a code for? Was going to removes these but end I cant be bothered. I am missing the strips along the sills.. So if anyone hears of a complete set ..PLease let me know.. If I dont locate a set b4 it is time to spray I will end up welding the holes up .

Happy festival season!! Better do an update as I haven't posted here for a while. Restripped bonnett as heard a horror story re paint peel caused by mixing brands. So off it comes and back to PPg for remainder of car. Had a bit of luck from Feebay have scored a near new set of sill strips, a radiator shroud panel and some adjustable Nolatec camber strut tops. Finally still waiting on a passenger side rear qtr repair section for the wheel arches . On the slow boat via noth pole...Once that arrives back into the shed to finish the prep work.. Will post pics later date.. cheers

Update.. Parcel arrived from the uk with my left hand qtr panel repair section .I have only cut out the bad stuff and will modify the repair section to suit. Have removed 40 years of grease oil etc and a lot of previous owner rubber from the undercar and wheel arches.. He must have been laying some serious burnouts. Anway next step to spray underneath with underbody paint. That is going to be a fun job .

Looking good hotboost, thank god for repair sections hey? Makes life a little bit easier. Are you planning to pump the chassis rails etc full off some sort of rust inhibitor before you do the nice paint underneath?

Yes they do Mud , luckily for me I have the only 1 to do .Although in a way I wish I had bought the otherside as well so I could have done a mini flare on the rear arches.Oh well. Paint will probably be body deadner , black sticky tar which gets absolutely everywhere. Not that people see or take any notice of under your car but as we all know how bad they can get. Cheers Matt

Update . Lots of behind scenes being done all those little jobs that seem to consume all your time but no real results... Big Thanks to Schulet's with his welding expertise the repair section is tacked in and 70% of a million screw holes in the engine bay now weld up.. rear section fits like a glove. Had to make a new inner guard which is done as well.Very fiddly espicially when the original metal is paper thin. ground back all the welds getting ready body deadner. Have to grind back the welds from the engine bay then reprime. So finally progress. I have my new motor out of storage and is in process stripping the remaining of TVR stuff of it ie water pump ,remote oil filter. and getting ready to repaint. Thats all for now!

Back by popular demand![:x)] Progress turrets welded up and repaired.Previous ownder in his wisdom decided to put pump up air shocks . So he decided to drill several holes and gouge a big mess so the valves would sit clear... GREAT !! Floor has had a small patch each side. I could have got away with just welding it up but I cant help myself when it comes to grinding Decided to brush the bitumen paint on instead of spraying . Just a lot less mess and you can really get a good coverage this way. That is one coat, will do one more just to be sure and will fish oil the inside the rails and rear in guards. Engine bay is still giving me a bit of grief but I'm on the right direction now. cheers
