does anybody know what diameter the pod filters need to be to fit the R1 carbs?

40mm should do it. Most motorbike shops sell em

Standard fule pump works fine,

Just make sure that you make the necessary adjustments to the main jet

Have you had it dynoed yet? Love the idea of something a bit different so it would be interesting to see how well it works.

Hi, i have a orange mk1 fitted with a 2.0 Zetec, Burton stage 2 head & std cams + 0.030" skimmed of the head. My car has R1 bike carbs on a home built manifold, it was dyno'd and got 96kw/6300rpm @ tyres, still more to find but am happy with that

racing jason had a post called "Maybe this is the best Mk1 in the country" and it was about martys car. But the pics wouldn't load. Came back a few hours later and the post was gone... spooky.

Mickas the alternator used is a Bosch Falcon XF rebuilt mounted on a Pinto bkt redrilled.
