I too agree, you are doing a top job on this. I noted in the brake booster pic that you appear to have a new grommett to go on the firewall where the heater hoses enter and exit. If so, where did you pick it up, mine is really dodgy.

Thanks for the nice words guys Have these to go on it.... Had them stripped, centres powdercoated, rims re-rolled & polished. For the seal around the heater outlet, you can buy them on Ebay in the UK or buy some rubber the right thickness & cut it to size.Thats what i did.

Looking fantastic. Really love watching the rebuilt.
Where did you get the Carbon Fibre door mirror and C- pillar vens? Great choice.
Cheers Andrew

Geez - looking AMAZING [:u]
What size and offset are the V4's?
Did you get them done by a local shop or a Simmons reseller? Did you replace the cap head screws around the centre - if so with what?

Vents & mirrors were done by a guy in Bayswater. He was an absolute nightmare to deal with & it took quite a while for him to do them but im happy with the result. I also have a Carbon Fibre spoiler for the bootlid as well.I will take some more pics over the weekend as i get a few more parts fitted.
I had the wheels re-done by a place called Neway Wheels in Heidelberg.Great guys to deal with & they did an awesome job. Wheels are 15x7.Not sure of the offset, sorry[:I]

They do look fantastic. IMHO the V4 would have to be one of the nicest wheels produced that suits the late 70's / ealy 80's style of car.
Can you please post a pic to show the dish on the rim and the back of the hub please? I too have V4's and I'm curious of the offset difference as mine appear to have a thinner hub section which will allow a deeper outer dish - but i'm not sure.

Paul,if it helps these are actually an old set of Simmons wheels. They are a 2 piece wheel, not 3 piece as the later types are. I will try and get some better pics of the rims for you tonight.

Thanks Chris. I think mine are a 7.5" rim with a 12P offset. From memory i think mine are 3.5" aouter and 4" inner. The mounting face of my centre is only slightly inboard of the rim mounting surface. Mine seem to allow a lot of dish but still with the recommended 12P(rear) offset under the guards Front (7" 24P offset) and rear (7.5" 12P)

Thanks Lucas. I figure the Carbon Fibre wont be to everyones taste but i wanted to do something a little different with this car, bring it a little more up to date, hence the non standard color etc. Having said that,if the urge strikes, i do have a mint standard rear spoiler & mirrors etc that i can fit

nothing wrong with trying man, and if you like it then there is no issue at all. I take it your not building it for me to like it and drive it so go for your life. Im also not a fan of 4drs but there are always exceptions and this is definently one of em . Keep up the good work i look forward to seeing the final product.
