I'm loving that blue on the 4 dr! Best of luck with the new arrival but may I suggest (through experience) you get stuck into the car sooner than later

Just a little update this time around....as everyone has told me,its hard to find the time to get out into the garage & do some work once a newborn arrives so things have progressed slowly. The engine bay is now pretty much complete. Got my exhaust manifold & down pipe back from Jet Hot. I was happy with the job they did but not the turn around time. After being told it would take 5 days to do,i finally got them back after nearly 3 weeks

Well, its been a while since ive updated this thread and a lot has happened since the last time i posted. With the help of a few people i was able to get the car finished & was lucky enough to be able to debut it at Small Ford Sunday. It was a bit of a mad scramble in the weeks prior to get it all done but i have to say,it was worth the effort

Im really happy with the way it has turned out. There are still a few little things i would like to tidy up on the car but at the moment,i just want to run the engine in & then enjoy driving it!

Thanks for the comments guys. Glenn,i mmanaged to take 1st place in the Mk2 RS2000 catergory which was a great feeling. There were quite a few nice cars there so i was stoked to walk away with the win. In Mk2 Non RS,my green Mk2 placed second. I was still pretty happy with that considering the car has been on the road since 1998!

Thanks for the kind words Beck. I managed to source new clips for my air box thru Ebay UK. How many do you need? I think i still have a few at home. The filter i run inside the airbox is a K&N Filter. I will get the part number for you tonight if you like?

That would be great thanks. I saw your car in Melbourne this year, looked fantastic. I've been told the clips match a VW Airbox clip of some description as well. Were yours advertised as Escort. Many thanks
