Very nice Gav.

You still want me to help with brackets?

Looks like there are quite a few three doors at shows in Perth.

Hi Big_Gav,
I loved the transformation. Especially the wheels, they are a huge improvement looks wise.

I bet the old owners are wishing they didn't sell it now.

Yes mate. Turbo all sorted. Oil and water plumbing was a bit of a nightmare but all sorted now. Im away for Easter at the moment but I will put some more pics up soon. It looks the part just need to get it on the dyno and see if it goes the part! It certainly feels a hell of a lot different on the road which is the main thing. I was initially thinking it was going to be very laggy but its not. I probably read too many jap forums with too many different stories. Should have known better. After all, it is still only a gt28 frame. Small really.
Im looking forward to the All Ford Day again this year mate. Usually huge crowds turn up. Top day out

Ty the AVO's slid in no worries at all. Very easy. No mods to the rear turrets like I have heard others have had to do. To be honest I'm not actually sure what the spring rate is. they are the standard springs that come with the GTX kit. Very happy with the ride quality and handling but. Looking forward to tackling a few track days this year with the club.

As above, the new GT2871R turbo is in. Specs are .6 in housing and I opted for the slightly larger .86 hot side housing. I bought the Roose Motorsport Hybrid turbo to cooler hose just to finish it all off. The parts that finished my bank account off were all the Speedflow oil and water fittings!! Haha! Now that is a expensive sickness! So easy to go silly with a catalogue in your hand. I ended up doing the fuel system from the steel line to the regulator then to the rail. Modded the rail to take the -6 fitting. Looks nice. I made a new turbo dump pipe to match the new 5 bolt exhaust and thats about it. Only driven it twice! I want to get it on the dyno just to check what the a/f's are doing. I will set the boost from there I guess. First time I drove it, I forgot to change the boost on the EBC... it ran real nice at 26psi! Haha... yer I was trying to kill the T3 that was in there before!

While it was in a million bits I finally put the new INA followers in that have been sitting on my bench for the past year!

Pics as promised...
I love this pic. With the cam cover off it makes the turbo look huge!.... Ahhh, but its not.

I ended up making my own turbo hanger. Cost me less than the Baileys jobbie and more fun to make.

Couple of pics from the Whiteman Park show here a few weeks ago

Oh yer... New brakes are almost ready to go on. Just waiting for Aust Post to deliver my new bells and brackets. These should be good fun. They are Alcon 6 pot monblock's off a jap spec Evo 8. I machined the Bits-a-****y off and gave them a new paint job. Rotors are Alcon 342mm.

Old rotors are almost the same size as the new hats!!

Little update.
Brakes are all in. Massive thanks to Lincoln for fabricating the bells and brackets. They are an awesome piece of engineering. They look unreal. We had a little bit of richarding around with measurements and diagrams but everything worked out perfect. Hope you didn't lose too much hair stressing mate!
The day they got delivered here I had them in being anodized. I asked them to match the blue to the Compomotive wheel centres blue. Its pretty close. I sourced new 12.9 grade bolts just to make them look a bit prettier too. When I bought the calipers the previous owner gave me brand new Endless braided lines that he wasn't going to use!! Very lucky. I had two new steel lines made up with -3 fittings and just bought the adaptors to suit.
Still haven't driven it with the new brakes yet. Just finished bleeding them today.
If you are lucky enough to have Lincoln make something up for you I guarantee you will not be dissapointed with the final product!
