Yer Shaun, those ProAlloy boys are pretty good. I saw hte article in a Fast Fprd mag on their workshop. Impressive work they do there.
Thanks Jordan. I have had to cut a fair whack of metal out from under those front guards and shave the front bar a fair bit to stop the rubbing at that height!! Gong to be interesting to see if the RS500 splitter will actually fir at all! Im a signwriter mate, but have done a lot of automotive painting in my industry. Painted a few cars here and there.
Kurt!! Unreal mate! What are the cahances eh?... fairly good I guess with only a handfull in the country!![88] I have see nthe roll cage holes but haven't seem the 77 on the bonnet yet. Did you change the dash to a newer Saphire one aswell? Its still in good nick that one. No cracks. Yer I forgot to mention the greens and the -31 is on there.I would love to hear anything you can tell me bout the car mate! Good or bad...doesnt worry me. Oh!! do you know what the extra stich in the centre consol was for?? There was a wire that ran to the front of the car. Maybe radiator over ride switch?

Hmm.... people I know who have a soft spot for Geminis are a little soft in the head themselves!! Hhahahaha! He has seen the light with the 500 but I guess! [;^)]

Mrs Colt eh!!! Not any more... purple festiva man!!!

Gav, I bought the car with a really bad dash board... it had more lines than a street directory. when I sold it to Paul, (the guy you bought the car from), he was alittle more resourcful than me and found a dash in NZ, and fitted himself. I can't remember the switch in the centre console though!!!???
There isn't anything bad to tell you about the car except it was the ugliest 3 door in the country when I bought it. But it came up really well. I admit I took it for a thrash at Queensland raceway for some hot laps, but like you said, the radiator was not the greatest and it got hot quite quickly. I do remember though that car had some serious top end power... it seemed never ending...

why does everyone assume that riders are all nutters? [88]

not far from the truth though [(#)]

try having long hair and not shaving on a daily basis, that adds even more to the assumptions of nutty behaviour [}:)]

A few weeks after I took delivery Kurt I threw it on the rollers. It only made 205BHP at the rears. We put this down to mainly the boost. The Speco gauge that was in there was saying that it was running 21psi then dropping back to 19. The dyno gauge told another story... it said it was running 18 peak then dropping to 12psi!! The power curve was a hidious looking thing that peaked then dropped and flattened. I put the AVC-R EBC on soon after and it felt so much faster on the road. Im looking forward to seeing what happens on the dyno in a month or so after the turd-bo is all finished. We shall see.
Thanks for your history lesson mate. Always interesting to know.

[:0]hmmm! that's about 145rwkw. My F6 Typhoon makes 260rwkw, but in comparison, I think the Cossie was faster! Like Ty said, it went hard while I had it!!!???? interesting!!!

Yer it was a wierd one. All those nice Stage 3 bits and it only did that. As I said we put it down to boost. Low boost, low power...

I had bought all the injectors, chip amd 3 bar map sensor went in, and took it for a spin and couldn't get it to go over 10psi. It wasn't until I put the -31 on that made the massive difference. I am wandering whether the spring in the actuator had gone soft. It was a second hand one that I only paid around 10 quid for. I don't know how old it was!

Hmmm... Like I said, once I put the electronic boost controller on that made a big difference! Wound it out to 26psi just before I pulled it to bits a few weeks ago! Hehehe. I knew the new turbo was going in so if it popped no biggy. It just flattened out at about 6500rpm. Reaching its limits I think. The rest of the engine spec is above that T3 anyway I think. Stage 3 they so to go to a T34. All good

Oh yer.. Shaun, that mk1 was one of 2 I had at the time. That grey 1300 auto has since been sold and is now receiving the turboed SR20 treatment! I always wanted to Cossie it but gave up after the third attempt at trying to get permission from the DPI just to start to build the thing!! They would let me build it mainly because of power to weight ratio. Buggers...
