hey guys! i qualify in 2 months so im pretty excited about getting the project going again, i gave up trying to build this car on apprenticeship wages!
it has to be trailered out for some welding and fabrication work to get the ball rolling again.

hey guys,
wow have just read the whole thread after i was too deciding weather to put a sr20det into my escort,
i have had my Mk2 1979 2 door coupe with a 2L pinto engine in for some time now and a few months ago some drunken D#CKHEAD crashed into it while it was parked in my driveway and drove off
I have now brought a Mk2 1980 escort Panelvan rolling shell and was thinking about sticking the 2L pinto engine into that but the more i read about the SR20DET's the more I want to buy one for it
so thank you for inspiring me to do so i just hope its easily to find a cheapish SR20DET in NZ :P

Great to see the detail in the conversions. Have a 79 mk2 xl 2 door myself and hoping to get the fabrication done between my brother soon to fit a black top sr20det

also wondering if 510pom is still selling crossmembers and anything else to assist the conversion? I can't PM yet even though I believe I've done everything required. Cheers
