becarefull with the exhaust manifolds off ebay as they tend to warp... few of my mates have warped and pulled away from the head... ended up going and getting a decent 1 made up or just bought a 6boost...

alright, new manifold arrived, sweeet. came out of the cast pretty rough, all the ports were average spent some time with the file and rasp, before after much better, should flow a little more now. next up trail fitment lookin good. and then... doh!, super efficient massive radiator. gets in way, not to worry, i reckon i can get around it. probably get away with a 45* bend, butt piece of pipe then a 135* bend around the radiator to straight pipe, reduce down to intercooler.. or i can just use spray paint lids??

hey guys thanks for the kind words, dislocated my thumb at gym last week, do you know how much it hurts to open jars!?! anyway, i have got a Yoke, finally the last piece of the puzzle for the driveshaft, can be sent off to hardy spicer once the box is in and i have a measurement to work to. Stock Ecu yeah i know ive got an EMS dual sport but i just want to get the ball rolling. half considering selling the dual sport so if i later decide on aftermarket i can just go with the power fc like so many others do with the sr's Crank Wheel now machined down, (removed front wheel), i only require one wheel for altenator but the second is part of the harmonic balancer. i was looking at extending some ramps i have so i can get lowered cars up to a working height and it worked out that i would need 13m of 20mm square tube to extend them by 1.2 m! sh*t balls! so im going to get the car as high as possible and try and get the box in tomorrow, see how we go. got the gearbox in by myself today, pretty chuffed about it. had a few attempts at it and started off "massaging" the tunnel with the mash, i wasn't happy with it so i ended up cutting a section out, then it dropped straight in like a 5 min job. loving it.
now ive got to decide what to do with the section i removed, weld in and box out larger so i can get the bolts in the top of the box or make it removable for later maintenence?
anyway got a little more surgery then ill post some pics up tomorrow, driveshaft is going to be sitting nice and straight which makes me very happy.

sounds good mate its coming along nicely! yer get rid of the EMS mates got 1 on his sr and its pretty poo poo... no idle control and cant get a very good tune on it... PFC's r good man or autronic [:x)] heres a pic of my tunnel get u an idea of wat to do with the top... i went about it a lil differently because im running a z32 box (300zx) with a conversion plate jus cus there alot stronger and it will be making a fair bit of power. its a full press steel tunnel big enough to run a big auto later on...

very impressve Matt, that tunnel looks awesome. id be proud to paint that and leave it as is ok well today got a little out of hand, i did a tidy up with the grinder and talked myself into cutting out the whole tunnel. the previous owner had really gone to town on the old one with a hammer and really did look like a hat full of..... so now its as high as you can get in the tunnel without fouling on the handbrake linkage. this has been posted up before, but i do like the tunnel he has made http://turbovan.com and heres what it looks like atm the motor laying as flat as i can get it still trying to decide weather to make this accessible from the cabin or make it big enough to get my hands in from underneath.. (was thinking drill holes in bolt positions and use solid rubber grommits like half of the escort firewall is like anyway.) peoples thoughts??

haha good job... it will make it sooooo much easier changing box/clutch wen the time comes with the bigger tunnel!
id put a lil removable lid on the top... wont take much to do and will com in handy if u need to get to the cover plate on the box or wat ever rather then having to muck around under the car...
