Well as the up and down journey of this car continues I have hit another low point after getting most of the interior parts in It appears I need about another 150mm of leg room, wwich basically means new cage, so my bolt in is up for sale.

But on a good note its been progressing.
The last peddle box was a bit ordinary so knocked up a new one

You can see some of the problems in this pic.

Also got my centre push clutch bearing sorted

Pedal area getting cosy, a bit to much for my liking

I dont know how long this mount is going to last

I will add more soon hopefully good

I have also being thinking about oil plumbing setups. Who is running a oil cooler and where have you mounted it?

Mine is mounted vertically behind the grille but i did have to make a little cut in the front panel to fit it in. I figured mine is a track car so i wasnt too concerned about that.

Cheers Gdub I have a intercooler in that spot unfortunately. I have been thinking behind passengers side indicator, with it removed, and maybe some ducting.

Ps Your car looks neat. What class are you running in?

Thanks, i just use it for sprints and last year it did a couple of 6 hour relay events.

Its just a pinto with a lot of headwork and a pair of 48IDF's hanging off it. It goes okay.

Make it go FASTER!

Whoa long time has passed. Work is still going on, its had the bolt in cage ripped out and a lot nicer full weld in cage done. All  brakes and fuel is done. It is now at a workshop to have the ecu and intercooler plumbing sorted.
Working out what ignition setup is my next challenge

Hey Luke,

I am keen on where you got the power steering unit from and for how much?  You can PM if you want.

Cheers,

Matt

The trick to uploading photos is to open the full version of the panel. You will see that there is a paperclip symbol which will allow you to browse for photos on your computer and attach them as a file. Took me ages to work this out wwhich is wwwhy my build thread RS project was started after the car was basically finished! Cheers, Len
