well she started today, no radiator so i ran it less than like 10 seconds

sounds alot smoother, and i haven't even set the timing yet..

The lepord print doesnt quite do it for me lol. Hey and where did you get that grill? its nice and shiny, and if its shiny and bolts to a escort i need it haha [88]

standard grill, painted silver lines around the place and put cheap autobarn mesh behind it.. the problem with that chrome mesh is it gets dirty real easy and hard as a beach to clean

well, took it for its first road drive today..

got a permit.. mum wanted to drive to the end of street and back first incase anything was going to go wrong.

the esky loved it. sat at 60-70degs. nothing broke or starting making weird noises.

didn't even need to turn thermo fan on.

pics soon :D

yeah no sh*t lol

especially with the scare i got Friday night.. the escort wouldn't start!!, no spark!

played with it more and more, went to sleep, satdy morning i kept on trying and trying.. finally got it going, and it was one of those times where i did two things and it started running.

not just one thing, so it could have been either.

coil boost (from starter) wire shook/fell out of the ring clip (my bad)

and

one of the four wires on the module/ignitor, one wire wasn't contacting the clip.

but yeah drive was so much fun

i couldnt have asked for anything more entertaining. really

sat at about 3000rpm doing 80-90? just loved it.

temp guage didn't go anywhere near 80degs let alone 90/100.

and on the way.. just as i got into frankston.. cop saw me.. told me to pull over.. and 10 minutes later there was a canary on the window [:x)]

lol

-ground clearance (elcheapo exhaust hangs to low)
-no washer bottle
-wiring for thermo fan must be concealed
-bald front right tyre

few more things.. but i left the list in the car.. my bad.

also forgot to bring the speedo cable with me so he could change that.

got alot of looks for three reasons poo pooty looking car, loud car, bonnet not latched down. (it was latched, just didn't have the bottom peice so bonnet was not down fully)

heres some pics my sister took as her and mum followed.

and at the workshop... FULL of Escorts... had to be atleast 10 mk1s a white mk2 rs2000 (beautiful stunning condition) and a mk2 2door shell on a trailor with forest arches and front spoiler etc.

so looks like its in good hands [:x)]

A couple big jumps will fix the exhaust hanging down.

Your mechanic sounds like he might lead you down the garden path.
It can't be a bad thing.

You must be bored now without a Escort to play with?
