well i got her running last night, the power is really really enjoyable to say the least. chews through fuel though.
took it to work today, depending on how things go it will end up being my daily.
but, i found its leaking a fair bit of oil, i found the source, i hope, and that was the top fitting for the PCV valve had almost shook itself out, i put it back in to find its very loose in its place. ill see if i can rectify on the weekend, as i wont be using the car tommorow.
damn, i should REALLY get some pictures atleast NOW. lol

well turned out the oil was being pushed up through the dipstick. too much crank pressure. its all going pretty well right now. still being used as a daily! yep! everyday to get to and from work! heres some pictures to keep the intrest up [88] i get soo many looks in this thing. and i haven't been pulled over yet! i even had a cop next to me when i was powering up a hill, 3/4 throttle, the exhaust was growling and the dellortos were singing! heres the new engine, no PCV at the moment, its got the valve in there, but only filters to the atmosphere, shes a good strong motor. loves the open throttle[:x)] i dont know why the dust is so strong in the picture. could barely see the dirt when i took it [x2x]

they REALLY need to be tidied up, there for the rev limiter, stereo, electronic ignition, and central locking.

well looks like i spoke too soon. all day today the escort was overheating. i would stop to find the overflow hose blowing like a kettle!
which is weird because the weather was quite cold all day!
but yeah. had to stop twice to let it cool down, open the cap to find the radiator pretty much empty.
ill look into it later, wont be taking it to work 2moro, thank god for mum having a spare poo pooter. (mitsupoo pooti magna)

Yeah you should totally run your wiring along the chassis rail, makes it way tidier! Bummer about it overheating, but it wouldn't be an Escort if it didn't annoy you!
