and even though it doesnt sound much different from the inside, i got my buddy to drive it past me with some lead, sounds the goods! not to loud with a nice note i should get a vid soon, cheers zac

Yeah with no exhaust there's no restriction. Similarly, when the rozzers told me to plumb the screamer pipe back in the Riceline I lost a little bit of boost (about 1 - 2psi depending on temperature and all that cr@p).

I still can't believe how far this car has come. You're a patient chap!

yeah it has come a far way, i dont think ill have this motor for ever though, it blows decent smoke and theres a rattle coming from either the cylinder head or the upper back of the engine which is getting pretty annoying, along with a million other scary noises LOL

as long as it gets me to work and back im happy to have a cool cruiser

i saw your new shoes on the skyline too, look good.

had some more time on the old girl this afternoon, figured out how to store the spare wheel jack and lever, chucked the tyre iron in there (wheel brace) and fire extinguisher,

fitted a third braking light on the parcel shelf to help people not kiss my rear (lame joke intended), re drilled the front rego plate so its not level with the front cutouts, and fitted a proper choke cable (finally)

and after ALL this i start to find my battery really doesnt seem to like holding a charge lately.

all these updates i really should get the camera out, personally i get bored if all i see are words and no pictures [:I]

Noise could be from the tappets which need clearances checked and adjusted if need be. have a similar noise aswell!

well i finally got around to putting it on the hoist, while running,

and oh my g*d, the noise was immediately SO much louder underneath,

after a few minutes i determined its definately coming from no4 bottom end.........[8~2]

what is with this timing? 2 weeks before my 18th and i need a new bottom end? f*cken hell.

my mate told me to put the thickest oil i can find in it first before i start taking sh*t apart, but i dont think ill bother, what's damaged is damaged.

and its getting louder and louder everytime i drive it i swear.

well started it up again this arvo, noise was able to double in volume again, which i didn't think was possible [:u]

and made some screechy whiny sounds too [xx(]

stalled on my twice, starter couldnt do it so had to jumpstart both times, was able to make it into my shed, just pulled the motor out about an hour ago.

managed to crack open the solenoid on the starter motor [:(!]

very very pissed off.

Happy birthday bud. It's a shame you don't get to do celebratory birthday/license skids. Just make up for them on your 21st
