Sterling, that is too funny. A cop puts a canary on an unregistered car that has a temporary permit for the purpose of having a RWC check done on it.

Whereabouts did you take it to get fixed?

Regards,
Craig.

i took it to colin at cam automotive... in frankston..

cant stress enough how mint the cars he had in there were

im talking Escorts that were all shiny and painted.. chromed with the rims etc just the outside.. who knows what was under the bonnets and in the interiors.. look like each one owes there owner like $20,000

and yeah doesnt really make sense hey...

he said vicroads shouldnt hand out permits to cars they have never seen before. and everythign he marked me for IMO didn't deserve a canary.. its not like having no washer bottle or a low hanging exhaust could cause an accident..

only the bald tyre could affect bad situations really.

Yep, have to see the irony on that one. At least with the permit you cant get done for driving an unregistered vehicle......

Sorry Sterling, but the permits are for cars that are considered roadworthy or at least very close to, ie. safe to drive.

Not having a washerbottle and ground clearance items are most definately canary items...

When I saw the pics of that exhaust hanging down I was shaking my head... It's no wonder you got pulled over mate...[8~2]

Oh well, look at the bright side, it's now at a place where it can get sorted. With any luck, that should be the last of your running troubles.....

just a bit of an update.. the next BIG update will either be me announcing my road worthy ness, or when the cars painted.

whichever comes first i guess

fitted a 24mm whiteline pro anti sway bar.. feels sweet!

also had the car on the hoist (obviously) for the first time since it was taken to the mechanic.. colin at cam automotive in seaford did a very very nice job chopping the bottom for the radiator swap.. cant fault it.
