I have had to put it on hold due to money issues. my plan of attack for rust and cutting and welding on this car is get someone else to do it.i figure while the fabricator is cutting the chassis rails out he can fix the rust to. the whole car is down to bare metal just need the interior done to.

hey lucas

great work on the car so far im currently fitting a sr20det to a mkII aswell looking at your engine bay shots looks like you have already modded the mounts??did you have an sr block to trial fit??
Seems like i have to drop the front x-member a bit to get the motor to sit lower so to reduce gearbox to tailshaft angle..
any advice be great thanks

Barney. my advice would be talk to (andy) 510 pom he made the mounts for it.did a great job.

RSWEPN still in talks with the fabricator bout that, probably run a 5link rear end and keep the leaf setup.but will be runnin at max 305s so need abit of clearence to keep it normal arches. The engineer is wat i need to keep happy because i want it to be full street legal. I was gonna change it to coil rear end but wasn't sure if it is necessary.

You will have to move the rails to fit 305's and as soon as you touch the chassis rails, its no longer legal.

is it more a circuit setup or drag?

nah ive already spoke to the engineer and i will legaly be able to move the rails to fit 295s 305s, but i will only be able to run 265s on the road if i try to run bigger he will not pass the car. it will only run bigger tyres on the strip.

and im building it for drag not circuit.

well not much has been happening latley. been really busy with work but have been savin some cash. The car is booked in next year in june (earliest i could get it booked in) to get all the welding done on the car, all rust fixed, shortened diff, brakes all round suspension done seam welded everywhere and a roll cage, i have decided against the mini tubs. I have 6 months to get the car completeley bare metal and ready for some work.
