Hi Stefan,
The MkIII has come up well, looking great. Can you tell me about the BW diff you are using? Obviously you are shortening one - have you managed to find a place to get it done for a good price? I have an XR8 Falcon diff ready for mine so any tips would be appreciated. Some places want drug money to do the shortening?
Cheers
Steve.

Hi - Supa Trik engineering (Dandenong Melbourne) r doing mine - $350 to shorten + $150 4 axle(s). Ive re-built heaps of these so will disassemble // re-assemble it myself. I picked up the diff - disc to disc $180 - they dont break easy so cheap to buy. Running 3:1 LSD. The total width is 1385cm - standard mk 1. That way i can fit 14 x 8's under no probs (the mk 3 diff is 1450cm

Stef, I'll give you the seal for 2 nice J moulds mine were rubbed back and painted and although straight, wont go back to chrome.
Let me know what colour carpet you want and I'll get it pressed for you as the factory will most likely close over xmas
Oh Simmons are gone, they were 14" and 4 stud anyway, falcon ones should be easy to get (and cheaper)
Yes MK2/3 diff is a few inches wider than MK1, the racers used to swap to MK1 diffs to get more rubber under the rear

engine wise - an explorer 4.0ltr V6. These are a later version of the 2.8 V6 the car runs. Only diffs are: 1. Coil packs instead of the dizzy - u can see where they have blanked the original off. 2. Aluminium 3 port heads - vs the old cast iron siamese 3. overhaed cams - they deleted the in block cam - replaced it with a jack shaft to drive the over heads 4. 4ltr vs 2.8 The 2.8 5 speed bolts straight up // the drivers side engine mount bolts straight up. But the casting of the block - passengers side has been changed. I am having a new intake made - the 4.0ltr one is plastic Am using the coil packs, EDIS module and a meja jolt to drive the whole lot the donor car - 98 explorer engine drivers side - not aluminium 3 port heads - coil packs - casting same as 2.8 pass side - casting different mega jolt
