What year is the Mk1 Stefan? I'm assuming it's a 1600, is it auto or manual?

Thanks

Jamie

Actually, a bit of a lesson - she cost me $5k a good solid car - and looks (and was) a nice buy - then to drive it down from Qld (inc air fare) @$1000, then the re-spray/beating - @$4k, crashpad $450, tyres @$600, stripes @ $200, seals etc @ $200, plus other crap - btn $10 & $15 k! Mechanically she is v. good. But if one came up 4 $15 - u would have to think!

Really have to be careful - the other Mk3 i scored from Qld - on ebay - they said no rust! It will cost @ $3k just to cut the rust out! Thats why i went up this time.

By the time ive finished with the Mk 3 pictured - @ $25K. - BUT ITS A CAPRI!! Just air cond, juicy stuff etc.
It'll be a work car. I'll ditch the 2007 Toyota and drive the Mk 3 around - what a buzz! Economically it makes sense - the toyota depreciates that much in 3 years - where as the capri remains fairly static - value wise - and i dont mind spending maintenance money on a capri whereas a toyota - god!

Spud that blue one just sold from carpoint for about 15g. It looked good in the pics but you can bet that it needs all or most of the work that you are doing to your car and by doing it yourself you get all new gear. Given the choice I would do the same.
Or you could just buy a Nissan skyline and save all the trouble. (not).[;^)]

Yes - mine did look very nice - externally but just a few rust holes here and there and a total re-spray is in order and all that goes with it. Hmmm Wools! not good! Yr as bad as me and the RS! Ill be able to re-fit mine pretty quick but if there are any items that need replacement/re-furbishment on the way thru - that will stall me - b/c i want it to go back together nice like. The crash pad was significant - b/c its 1 of the 1st things to re-fit but it will be ready. Hopefully my panel beater will do a nice job!

Hi Wools - yes built it 4 the capri. My old spoiler was like yours - metal rusted - its tip fodder now. Am preping a BW diff at the mo to fit up. The old T5 and quick shift etc. Stuffed if i can get the sunroof right on this one - it worked fine when i brought it. Will book it into the sunroof place 4 a service and new hood lining after rego
