I am home from 17:00 on weekdays.

The brake reservoirs need to come up to allow them to gravity feed to the brake cylinders. Also it looks neater the way they are now and the lines are away from the exhaust.

You can get the engines from $1300 - $1800 dollars.
The Type 9 range a bit on what you want form $500 just cleaned - $1200 fully rebuilt. Eurospeed are well setup to supply them.

I rebuilt mine for $700.00

Engines will get cheaper and easier to obtian in Australia now that the Mondeo 07 LX 2.3lt is hear aswell as the Mazda MZR or MPS Turbo all have the same block, the sump and engine on my car can be used on all these engines aswellas the 2.0lt.

There is also an MX5 2.0lt rear wheel drive with 6 speed which could easly be installed into an Auto Escort. For those who don't like the type 9.

As yet Eurospeed has not release a kit as such and it may be sometime before they get around to it, they are continually busy with the interest they have sparked with the duratec into Clubmans and Escorts let alone the hollenger gearbox side of the business.

The attention to detail is great and they are continually improving parts to make them better. For me its the people you deal with and Geoff is a great bloke to deal with. Their prices are about mid range and I have sourced parts from several companies to build my Escort.

The Duratec 2.3 is an extreamly tight fit into an escort and well sorted parts are needed to make it look and feel like a breeze to install. This is where Goeff has taken parts from England and refined them. I am proof that they work first time no mucking around.

The duratec 2.0 would be easier to install into an escort being shorter by 12mm and you may be able to retain the standard cross member.

Once haltech gets around to doing a VCT map for the duratec you will be able to get good torque accross the rev range with the 2.0lt where the 2.3lt has it in bucket loads with its slightly longer stroke.

In the last week I have bleed the clutch, front brakes and rear brakes.
Installed the alloy radiator and the exhaast manifold.
Purchased CoolFlex Hoses, chrome with red covers for the heater and radiator.
Installed new spark plugs

We have struck a small problem with the alternator. The alternators on Duratec engines are controlled buy the ECU, but it looks like we will be able to run it with the Haltech E8.
