Cheers for the complements Stairsy.
I managed to get it from New Zealand of TradeMe. Have family over there so there is normally someone flying between the two countries so I don't need to pay for postage to here.
Cheers

Yeah hopefully it won't crack. I managed to track down a "special" tool to do it with. It's exactly the same as this one:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Tools-repair-kits/auction-115210491.htm?p=1
So hopefully it wont crack? or Will it??

If it's the rear guards you're getting done I would say get a panel beater to do it, because from what I've been told the rears on Escorts are really tough and a machine will make a mess of it. [B)]

yeah that one on trademe is very similiar to the one i seen in the magazines on the net, think its something just like www.guardroller.com has like a 5 min long step by step video of how it done and before and after result, very handy if you were planning to do it yourself

Hey Rhys,
Yeah it's running a lot better. It sounds like it wants to stall when idling though. It sounds although it wants to stall but the computer wont let it?? Any ideas? I think the idle might need to be turned up. It's also running at 92C before the fan comes on which I also think is a little high! I'm going to take it back to Tony at ERR in a week to see what he thinks and he wants to check all the maps etc.
Cheers

Hey,
Inferno115 - Yeah I was planning on doing it myself. Hopefully I will only have to do the "lip" under the guard not the actually guard itself.
Juiceman - I'm only doing the fronts as they hit just before full lock. The rears are fine.
Cheers

i bought a guard roller from the guardroller.com site and its wont crack your paint if done properly and yes the rear of an escort is double skinned and abit tuffer than other cars but still doable.

very nice what throttle cable are you using. is it the standard sierra injected one. Im having "issues" with mine where it goes through the firewall and attaching to the throttle peddle.
