Been a while since an update and unfortunately not that much more to show...

Most recent jobs have been taking most of the body back to metal. Both front wings are now off, to be replaced with fibreglass bolt on guards. Also made some seat mounts for the RS scheels.

first trial of f/glass guards... wheels are always good for inspiration

heres the floor before i started removing the deadener. Really time to build that rotisserie... not a fun job on your back

Nigel,

Looking good, although everytime I see you car you are taking more stuff OFF it...

Have you bolted the guards on yet? How'd they fit up? Email me.

Not sure if im using a mk2 tank anymore, only pic i have of it mounted with folded ally flatbar. Just bolted through the floor with big washers. Mount it off centre like a mk2 so you have room for a muffler.

They seem to fit really well, haven't welded them yet though.

Thanks Simmons are sold and going on another very cool turbo mk1. Not sure if i can fit fr17s under standard escort rear tubs, with the ride height i want (low). Engineer will be around within the next month hopefully to tell me if i am allowed to tub and 4 link it

I bought some glass guards a few months back. They didn't fit as well as i had hoped, and have taken quite a lot of work to both sheetmetal and the fglass to fit. I am fairly happy with how they are now, altough there are some symmetry issues where they bolt to the front panel.

Have also sold the fr17s, now replaced with 16 inch BBS RS wheels. I was amazed how light these are compared to the Simmons.

Welded crush tubes for cross member mounting also.

highlights not looking too bad
