Nice metal working skills, wish I could do that. Seriously, I think you need bigger wheels though.

Thanks for the comments guys. I bought the Simmons with the intention of using them 8" front 9" rear but i think the car will sit up fairly high, even with the wheels tucked up under the archs. I am thinking along the lines of BBS RS's see pic. in 15x9 or 15x10. This is a long way away though and i will build the car to accomodate 17's. Santa not too sure yet, but it will be delicate so as not to distort the quarter, no long seams etc. HYPO4D, i think it will stay an off-white colour. Something along these lines

Nigel.
Top work. Things are looking good. Amazing how sticking a det or wheels under makes such a difference.
Keep it up...

Lincoln, that would be great. Martin from Reylands quoted me 35 pounds per item, and I need 6 of [B)] I doubt they will get much cheaper than that but see what you can do. Thanks mate

Nigel, let me know if you are going to part company with the FR17's. They are what I have been planning on putting on my MK1. Cheers Trent

Hi Nigel, Aaron will have your old flares soon. You should see for yourself why i couldn't send them. Anyone know of a good place to stay and eat in Melbourne?[(#)] Mark

Hey Max, if you want to be close to the action and want a mid line sort of accomodation you should try the Travelodge in Southbank. It is right behind southgate where there is a tonne of cafe's and restaurants and it is just on the edge of the city. If you want to impress with restaurants, book into Pure South or the Deck in Southbank. I am an encyclopaedia if you need more info on restaurants! Cheers
