Shaun, the heater is a universal aftermarket type. I struggled to find a full electric 12v one, but as this unit is very compact and light, it seemed a good idea. The brand is Siroco, and ive seen these on eBay with both 2 and 4 outlet's. I recieved your email Phil, Melbourne gets pretty cold, heater was essential, and thanks for the heads up on the lokka

Nigel, Have you hooked the new heater up to 12V yet to hear how loud the fan is? Ie: In comparison with std Escort. Im just interested because I've broken one of the outlet's off my heater core and it never really 'heated' anything anyway so one like you have sounds like a good conversion.

Rhys i haven't tested it yet, will do shortly though. If you do need a heater core, the unit in the mk2 heater pictured has a flushed and reconditioned core. Let me know if you need it, pay for postage and its yours.

I love your other car. A sweet little BMW there. The wheels really suit it too.

Thanks mate, its a really nice thing to drive everyday, torquey straight 6 and a 5 speed. Infact ive been spending a little too much time on it, hence not updating this thread in 8 months![:u]

Also managed to do some shopping. I will now be running -6 lines for both fuel supply and return, as well as pre and post fuel pump filters. The oil filter looking thing is a remote canister type fuel filter which will sit under the boot floor, it means i wont be spilling fuel inside the boot everytime i change filters. The other two things are an oil cooler thermostat and an oil filter ham and cheese sandwich plate.[:p]
