Trial fit of dummy engine, It FITS! 2wd manifold plus 16mm plenum spacer, not much room to spare, but it has 15mm+ clearance either side. Thanks to Shaun for the block Yellow pulleys are just temporary items!

Looking good Nigel.
I would try to get the engine back as far as possile against the firewall.. when you start fitting intercoolers and radiators in there you start running out of room really quickly. I reckon there is an extra inch you can go back from the standard mounts.
Cheers.

Phil, I think the next thing to do is save some money for the engine build![:u]
The diff is off this week getting narrowed. With the 16s and 35 profile tyres i can get the car low on the standard rear tubs which is handy. The auto tunnel wasn't near big enough for the t5 box so a new tunnel is on the to-do list. But will wait for engineer's OK before i cut the floor. Also have to cut the boot floor out to build the watts tower mount.
Damion, space is definitely a concern! The mounts in there atm are fabricated wcxm mounts, with the gearbox in, and engine at correct angle i can only just fit my fingers between the rocker cover and heater plenum!

Dunno if I said it once before, but those wheels are just incredible! [:u] And you lucky bugger picking up that seat for $100. And all the other gear. Yep, I'm jealous. Super cool car though
