Hey Liam,
How's it going. Thanks for your comments.

Funny you should mention triple webbers. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

Also, have a new chrome trim for the bootlid (thanks to SMCKA) that has never been fitted to a car. Took me this long to find it!

So it's all go at the moment and should look a little different shortly with a few add on's (or three)

HI Liam,

i also have a 1970 diamond white Capri - if you want to see it go to the Perth forum i run

http://Perthcapri.blogspot.com/

on the right hand side you will see a tab saying "my 1970 mk1 Capri"
you will notice i have the older bonnet with the cast iron piece at the back. I have the back blacked out - i think it looks heaps better but thats my personal opinion, diversity is the spice of life i guess. I will add some more photo's on there soon

nice car by the way

regards Paul

thanks again Phil for posting the photos.

Here are the triples that hopefully will be on my car soon.

gtv6capri, I made the spacers for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the manifold if DCN bolt pattern which is 3 holes and the carbs are DCNF with 4.
I also have another problem that I have a custom electronic distributor that is much larger than standard, and would foul the front carb, so I needed to move the front carb back.
Also, the spacing for the carbys on the manifold is not even, so I thought it would look better if they were evenly spaced, so thats why the spacers are on angles.

It took me many hours in my mates machine shop to machine the blocks as I haven't worked "on the tools" for many years but it has been alot of fun designing them and then making them. I'm hoping they will be even more fun when they are fitted. If I have calculated correctly, they should fit under the V6 bonnet no probs.

The carb's are triple 42DCNF's from a Maserati. I bought them from the states on ebay and the manifold is a mechanical fuel injection type I got from NZ. I have put kits thrugh the carbs even though they were in good condition when I got them.

I'll see how this set up goes but I would still like a genuine DCNF manifld but we all know how hard they are to get hold of without re-mortgaging the home!!!!

thanks again Phil!!
