Sr - good guesses but not my toys.
Cos - the mesh is bird/aviary mesh and is 12.5 x 25mm - bought a whole roll so have heaps left if you need some.
Max - Cheers
Not much to report. Half way through welding fuel tank. Mounted the carbon door cards and bonded in the mesh in the headlights.
Pics later but not much to look at.
No word on John Sidney yet, damn sprintcars have started to get busy. He was quiet when I organised it. No stress as he is not a man who can be leaned on and I am happy to wait given that I understand he needs the bread and butter business.

Dyno Time.... Run it in for an hour and did the fuel mapping to 4500 rpm and made 240ft/lb at 8 psi. Retorquing the head and running a power run every 500rpm on 4 different actuator springs tomoz. Any suggestions for lambda values for wot 30psi? - was thinking 0.82?

Mixed results on the dyno today as basically wasted most of it chasing a problem... grrrr...
The bad news I did not get any print outs or decent logs as was chasing my tail most of the arvo. Could not get any more fuel into the thing above 6500 no matter what i did (I am ringing UK at the mo but it seems I made a fundamental assumption about the fuel map in a pectel being in real world units (ms) and not referencing injector size). This means that my "base map" from UK in 840cc inejectors meant that with the 2200cc injectors that I used - the pectel determined 100% duty cycle at that flow rate (840cc) and clipped and capped duty cycle to that. Basically I had the engine mapped up to 6500 and no amount of jigging the numbers in that cell (and surrounding ones) could I get the lambda richer that 0.85 (I was aiming for 0.8) - raised the fuel pressure to 70psi to squeeze some more but not the right way of doing it. Attached a multimeter and got 40% duty cycle when the pectel showed 100% duty cycle. I know what you are going to say but I be freaked if I can find anywhere in the software where the injector size is inputted (I have mapped on autronic and motec before) and also a mate who does also could not find it either.... manual for software useless... strange as my pectel software cannot create new maps only modify existing maps (I am thinking there is a hidden menu or another piece of software). So this meant I was capped with 4 x 840cc of e85 fuel.
Slightly good news. No leaks. No destruction. 425bhp - 6500rpm - 28psi - safe ignition map (8 degrees) - 0.85 lambda
Anyone know anyone who knows about Pectel T2? Should of put a motec or autronic..... something about best laid plans.............. freak.

Sounds like it would be frustrating Lincoln...I dont know of anyone with pectel expertise here in OZ. Hopefully the UK guys can provide some support/answers?

Sounds like as much hassle as an Autronic Just put an M800 in it and save yourself some hassle

Fark - injectors only flow 1000cc not 2000cc as on the box.......................
Multimeter going in the bin!!! (or the operator - damn)
Funny thing is that they look like ID2000 and not ID1000. 1.5 days on the dyno down the bin. Owner of shop in the US at the SEMA show - engine being threatened to be taken off dyno (that I waited 1 month to get on) - no other options for high impedance 2000cc to hand.
FARK!!!!!!!

Problem solved.... back on Dyno next week.
Extreme school boy errors here. But here are the results.
1. Injectors outflowed the flowbench. 2. Flow test of the fuel system showed 9 litres a min (3 bar pressure) out of the fuel reg return (pumps on - engine off). 3. Fuel pressure dropping at 6500rpm (28psi on top of 43psi).
Pulled the reg apart to find some small plastic bits stuck in the fuel reg blocking the flow. freaked knows how they got there and am extremely lucky they did not cost me an engine. Thanks to Insight Motorsports for there service in testing and validating that I do have ID2000's.

Just a farken silly bump to let you know still around. Just sent another 200lt of powerplus to John Sidney and going back there next week.
Just spent a week in Port Hedland and found it rather strange. On the Friday went to the Pier Hotel (one of the roughest pubs in Aus with the most stabbings) and was BLOWN away by the amount of crazy hot chicks there!? 150 in pub must have been 30-40 super hots. Super money there dudes - recommend to all the single hard boiled types!

Dyno charts to be scanned tommorrow.
A decent day but a bit short of my expectations. Looking back on my engine spec perhaps some wilder cams. more porting, bigger turbo and a little more compression might have got me closer. I am also sure that the day did not help @ 30degree c and air density 92.7% which had ACT's @ 56 deg.
However I am sure the engine will be a hoot to drive....
Cliffs;
4000 rpm 280FtLb 17.6psi 4200 rpm 371FtLb 25.7psi 4400 rpm 396FtLb 27.1psi
stays flat above 370FtLb till 6400rpm
6800 rpm 345FtLb 33psi
Peak Hp 450 @ 6400rpm
I had trouble with the boost controller and definately needed boost per rpm. I had the boost controller set higher but got surge at 32psi @ 4200rpm. Mapped the engine at heaps on load sites and pretty happy.
