Chinese H-Beam Rods - ARP bolts genuine?

After many recommendations I've gone and bought myself a set of H-Beam rods for my Pinto. They come fitted with "Genuine ARP bolts".

They look the goods but when I compare the rod bolts to another set of ARP bolts the print in head of bolt is different. Could be a different batch or age thing but the other bolts came loose in a bunch of parts I bought so cannot verify their origin either so thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has considered this?

I'd be worried about rod quality if I have to also change the bolts because I'm worried about bolt quality...

Where did you get them from?

What are the rods branded as?

To answer your question some do and some don't.

eBay. Essentially China

They are "Max Speeding Rods".

Most of them looked the same with different branding.

The Other Half
Rhys,

Mate, be honest, do you think the majority of goods from Asia that require exacting quality are precisely as described?

Back in the day, my dad used to be head buyer for Big W and Woolies and would regularly travel Asia visiting the plants that made the goods. Amongst other things, he would quality test and even arrange everything required to make the products. Amongst many of the war stories one that sticks in my head is a Taiwanese plant manager asking him what he would like stamped on the wrenches and spanners being produced, chrome-vanadium etc. He found out it was scrap metal...

That's not to say that all items made in Asia are dodgy or anything made in Western countries is superior... but I'd say anecdotal evidence suggests you'd be reducing your chances of failure and be better off purchasing items that require exacting quality from a known and trusted source. I know it makes me sleep better.

I hope these work for you!

Thanks Nathan, you're right good and bad can come out of Asia but I'd guess that even the real ARP bolts (if these are not) are made in China or Taiwan these days. Probably the same with alot of brand name Conrods.

I hope they work too, still un-decided on the bolts though.
