I got the centuri carbon which is direct heat at the nozzle, this is what the hot end looks like and the feed is above it. You can buy that complete part for like $25 bucks so at some point I'll pick up a few and have different nozzles in it for easy change over.

That's the same as this guy..

A tiny bit of work on the mk1 today , first was to wrap the rear part of the loom with new loom tape and then throw it at the car.
It rings along the passenger side floor but at the rear seat area the factory fitment is inboard of the wheel tub and up the flimsy plate and continues to the boot where it clips to a strip along time boot edge. I couldn't do that as the fold down seats so my best plan is the send it thru the back door card panel hidden under the seat and run it over the tub to the back panel.

I drilled a 21mm hole (size holesaw I had at hand) so that a bung can be installed to stop wires getting cut on the edge, the bung will be printed in TPU .

Next will be the middle dash loom part which will join the front and rear together. I still need to create a mounting for the fuse board which could also be a 3d printed/designed item..

glad today is more civilized.
Last night was up there too.
We had been getting ash over the past week as the otway fires get closer.

As usual the weather has been convincingly warm so not much going on shed wise, today as the cool change rolled in I tackled the middle loom for my mk1. As far as I know it's a unmolested example which is great, I can place it in situ to find what I need and what I don't, things like a relay bank for lights and heated electric chairs etc. on unraveling the loom I noticed a couple of tan wires folded and cut so did a trace and at the other side is the same so unwrapped the lot and they didn't do anything, out they came and will save to repurpose for the roof light and sunroof power.

Last week was paint satin black week, most of the underside suspension parts for the mk2 rally pack are just about ready to install back on the car,

The diff is all back together after the crown and pinion were reset

And these are the struts that have had the platforms lowered about 1inch, there was some small damage on the threads but that was quickly fixed . The brown color is rust converter do they can stay like this for a long time before they start to rust again

Those beefy alloy mounts are nice, sorry if you mentioned earlier but where did you pick them up from?

Ah yes I forgot to mention about the rack which got a rebuild at the same time as when deano done his. I bought 2 pairs of these rack mounts, the other set went on my mk1. I did buy from a random in UK eBay but these have the spacers needed to take up the slop under the rack. For about $20 more than neoprenes they'll last for ever and also look fantastic plus there's no rack float at all. Rally design on eBay might be cheaper than their website...

Thanks, I'm actually shocked that theyre not like $400  prices are getting out of hand, when I quoted everything up before I stripped the car down two years back all the prices have gone up at least 20%.

Rock Auto to the rescue, bought 6x rubber brake lines, 3 for rally pack and the other 3 for my mk1.
I bought the cheapest in the market but have great reviews so why spend extra on stuff that does the exact same job. Righto I'll give the heads up on what to look for if anyone wants to get them at a later date..
Mercury Capri from 1974-77, after that they went mustang but still called Capri. They're also metric threads but didn't come with nuts or washers, maybe the dear ones at $20ea did, not sure..
Go to the brakes column and search the type you want in price etc, front and rear are the same length.. these in the pics below cost a monster $9.50ea and a walloping $25 post which got here in 3 days from USA. Also they are DOT so are legally fine to use in Australia.

Pinto engine parts are there too but nothing aftermarket or turning, stuff like cam followers and valves, pistons etc, sure beats buying from UK and paying a house in freight

Great stuff, I need brake lines! so they will go onto the M16 calipers and to the diff? Wonder if they will go into the Sierra rear calipers too?
