Mk2 Escort Heater

Gents,

Am after a mk2 heater complete. I have one but my fan blade is broken, coil is pinched and fascia is a mess. Sick of it. Does anyone have a good heater for sale. Am in Sydney but could consider postage from interstate.

message me please

Regards

Rodney

Hi Rodney, if nobody local replies I can help out but I'm in Melbourne. See attached pictures, $80 as shown. (note: early mk2 metal case type and heater core integrity unknown), I could box up for transport and deliver to a local courier depot provided you organise & pay the freight.

    Hi SFE,

Thanks for that, I have never seen this type of heater. Do you think it will fit an 80model?
Where abouts in Melb are you. I am down there in a couple of weeks could pick up.

    Thanks

Hi Rodney, I'm SE suburbs of Melbourne.

Anybody know the answer to Rodney's question whether an early metal case mk2 heater will interchange with the later plastic resin/fibre  type heater box? Or how about possible swapping of the heater cores, are they identical?

Both heater boxes are interchangeable , ford went to plastic ones at around '77, it'll swap with the metal type. . Same mounts. .. Same wires and heater outlet , tho i think the cores are slightly different but nothing a home mech can't adjust !

Was going to say the same Marty but also add that I think the controls on the earlier Mk2's work the opposite direction. Hot to the right instead of left etc....

    Cheers, Craig.
