(WTB) Piece of Mk11 Manual tunnel

The previous owner did a very rough Type 9 install - just hacked the original g/box lever hole larger towards the rear, instead of cutting a piece out that could be reversed . Thus there is a big hole in front of the type 9 lever & no flared hole edge for the boot attachment.
Anyone have this tunnel area or cutting up a manual Mk11 ?
Cheers,
Gregg

    Thanks Geoff,
Don't know about Mk1 van manual tunnel, but if you have one, can you please measure the hole diameter & the diameter at the top of the flared edge. I will compare to my rubber boot.

    Cheers, Gregg

Escort manual gear stick holes are the same as mk2, and TC-TF Cortina .
Since you will be welding one in if one turns up , you can make the part up , it's quite easy , once the flat part is trimmed to fit , cut the hole out( think it's about 4in) and then cut a 20mm strip which will make the ring flare for the rubber boot. Once welded in place just hammer and dolly around the rim to create the shape ur happy with. .. it's only got to hold the boot snug so doesn't need to be spot on.. i did the same to my Anglia. .

    Cheers

got the bit you need, how much metal do you want behind / in front of / & either side of the hole,
if i just rough it out you can trim it back as tight as suits you.!! ... if still looking.!!

also have an as new boot, if interested.!!

    Cheers Geoff
