are you talking about the slide decal that sits behind the heater controls that indicates hot / cold, up and down? if so, classicrepro.co.uk sell these. i got one a few years back and they look a treat. i have also seen them on ebay as well.

If you are talking about the bith that shows the heater controls and settings, the RSOCV has them...
If you are talking about the surrounds that hides the view of the mounting scres and into the dash, there are 3 types...
The RS or L models had a steel dash with a small plastic suround that only covered the screws and gaps around the heater controls. The XL or GL models had a large black with silver piping plastic covering all the way accross to the passenger side vent and incorporated the plastic cover to hise the screws and gap. The Ghia had a faux wood one that also covered all the way accross to the passenger vent....

Which one are you after... ? Getting a RS is more difficult as they are rarer, the GL have always been difficult to find with the plastic tags intact (most are now double sided taped on) and the Ghias are a little difficult to find with the wood in good condition....

Give me a call when you work out which one you are after as I may be able to help you (and we can swap spanners back!)

I'm after a GL dash, it seems my RS has holes a RS should not have :(

An RS with the 6 holes in the dash and a rounded rectangular hole sounds like an RS rebirthed or a lookalike from a GL.... Unfortunately not the first or last I know of either... Hope you did not pay RS money for it though... Go through the compliance plates and see if the numbers match a real RS and the numbers on the compliance plate matche the "unaltered" chassis number on the strut tower... Should be a CK41 or a CK42 for an Aussie RS. That said there are anomalies or rarities occasionally too...

I should be able to find a GL dash cover / facia somewhere...

I am after just the small surround from the RS or L model if you have one lying around
