Help identifying gearbox

Hi Guys, like the thread in this section I need help I.D.ongoing a gearbox it came with a load of parts when I picked up my Capri about 10 or 12 years ago cast numbers are 71BG 7006 JA any help would be appreciated I’m assuming it’s just a 4 speed of some sort.

    Just a 4sp Capri box. If your not sure on ratios, do the usual mark input/output shafts at pointing up (12oclock) , count the front shaft spins to only 1 rear spin. You may be lucky and have a close ratio box from a GT 1600 (2.9 to 1 first gear) 👍

    Thanks Marty, It came as a spare I’ve actually fitted a Pinto in with a type9 gearbox as it didn’t have the original motor in it anyway. We were unable to get the 1600 that was in it to run properly so in the end I ditched it.
