So I’m trying to fit a 2.0 pinto in my mk2 I’ve changed the sump to a rs2000 to clear the crossmember but now the sump is in the way of where the clutch cable would go is there another bell housing available where the clutch arm is in a different place thanks jim

    Hi Jim,

Going to need a few more details, however I'm happy to help

Are you using the standard Cortina cross member? If so you'll need a front pinto sump. Either custom, cut and shut the original, or you can get one out of the states. The rs2000 sump, is rear, it won't fit

Rs2000 sump, alloy? (I'm assuming you're from the UK? ) Won't work. In Australia, the rs sump is no different from a 2 lt escort.

You mention clutch cable. Therefore you must have changed already from the hydraulic setup. What gearbox are you using? The cable should connect fine with the original 2lt bellhousing.

Get some pics up of what you have.

I'm happy to take pics of my setup if you need?

    Shaun
